Great place to go with family and friends over the summer! The tour guides do an amazing job at explaining the history behind the house :)

Great historical site. The kids enjoyed the explorer books to fill out.

Despite the rain, the site is beautiful. The interpreter who guided us around the house was incredibly well-informed, answering my myriad questions with tons of very interested information. When we asked something to which an answer was not immediate, they banded together to try to find out. I was also super grateful to get a tour/highlights reel of the beautiful vegetable garden. If you're in Winnipeg, drop by and spend a free afternoon learning about how and upper-middle-class Metis family used to live.

I have lived down the road from this spot for 4 years. Finally went. Just under $5 to get in for adults. I didn't bring my wallet so I did not go in but the grounds had lots to see without the tour of the house. Parks Canada should really do a refresh on it though as it is starting to show some age.

Did the guided tour with our kids. Worth getting the tour for sure. Very reasonable price and informative and educational. Came with activity book and necklace. A fun activity centre for the kids spread out on a picnic blanket too.

We visited with 3 adults and 2 boys age 9 and 14. There were some great informative display boards in front to read that gave us some of the history of Riel's life. We added a guided tour on to our visit which really increased our understanding of the site far beyond what we would have got ourselves. The young people working were friendly and informative. The bathrooms were nice and clean.

Very interesting and informative. Learn about the french parcel of land system, and see how the Riel family lived. House is fully restored. No inside tours this year but guides are outside and provide info and an outside tour.
