★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son had the best time doing his Duke of Ed Silver practice and qualifying journeys this week! This is his second canoe expedition with Ridge Wilderness, having done his Bronze journey in 2019! He said Jackie, their camp leader, was really cool! She knew a lot of things and practiced a lot of skills with them. Their group bonded easily because they had a good leader. The kids were kept safe throughout the journey and she made sure everyone followed covid safety protocols. On my part as parent, it was smooth and easy transacting and communicating with the office. They responded swiftly and accurately to my inquiries and I had all the info I needed before the trip. I highly recommend Ridge Wilderness for camps and expeditions!

The course is experiential and practical, and I really enjoyed my two days. I ended it feeling prepared and confident to take my family and my students on outdoor experiences and to have the first aid necessary for these types of trips. I highly recommend this company and this course.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic learning experience. As someone who has attended many First Aid/CPR courses over the past 15 years, I can honestly say that the Remote First Aid and Wilderness First Aid courses my wife and I recently attended with Ridge were among the best I've attended.
Our instructor - Frank - was incredibly knowledgeable and was clearly invested in seeing all members of our group have a successful and engaging educational experience, leaving with skills we could be confident applying in some very challenging backcountry situations.
I am now far more confident venturing deeper into the backcountry knowing that both my wife and I have the knowledge and skills to handle a wide range of emergency scenarios with limited support and resources.
If you spend time in the backcountry, do yourself a favor and take the WFA certification course.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s always been a pleasure interacting with Ridge Wilderness. My daughter attended a few summer camps organized by Ridge this summer and she absolutely loved it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they do care about the kids. The rental guide at Stave Lake is also very helpful - we had a lovely day. I myself attended a first-aid training facilitated by Ridge and the experience was wonderful as well. I highly recommend this company.
