Ricci's Trucking Inc

In 1974, Ricci's Trucking, owned and operated by Louie Ricci, started as an independent trucking contractor, moving roundwood forest products and gravel material for various organizations. Located in Ignace, Ontario, a community on Highway 17, Ricci's Trucking developed a garage and maintenance facilities for his equipment and highway haulers.

Raleigh Falls Timber (RFT) began as a small harvest and haul contractor supplying roundwood products to various mills in the Northwest. Since its inception in 1993, RFT has expanded its equipment and product line tremendously – from a small roundwood producer to expansion and development into the field chipping aspects of wood procurement.

Both businesses were originally based out of Ignace. A larger maintenance facility was developed in Dryden in 2003. Shop facilities still exist in both locations and are still available for contract repairs for private highway truckers. Admistrative offices remain in Ignace but the bulk of the business is coordinated from Dryden.

From the single Tandem Gravel and Log Truck has grown the largest Harvest and Haul Contractor in Northwest Ontario. Today the Ricci operations produce and deliver over 1,000,000 m3 of forest by-products to locations throughout the Northwest. Most of today’s production is affiliated with the Domtar Forest licenses; however the business has expanded to operate in all locales.
