Best restaurant in Saint-Jerome! Nice staff, excellent service and chill atmosphere. Explosion of flavors that will surprise you. I highly recommend the tasting menu! Special thanks to Sam the cook!

A nice place for a weekday lunch. There is an interesting tapas menu. We went for the lunch table d'hôte. In spite of the heat, we opted for the Cream of Vegetable Soup. It was delicious and evoked memories of eating the same thing at Grandmaman's house. I ordered the salmon tartare with strawberries. It was good but under-spiced for my taste. My dining partner had the tuna with a strawberry green salad. It was tasty and nicely presented. The house fries were hand cut and really delicious. We also ordered a white sangria which was excellent.

Would give it a zero if I could. Hostess/waitress stand was rude and condescending. Come here if you want attitude. It is unfortunate that in our post pandemic attempts to get back to some sense of normalcy that the consumer is treated in such a belligerent fashion. I contacted the establishment prior to ensure that there were in FACT gluten free options and was assured that there was. The waitress ,however when questioned what her recommendations were for gluten free options on the "chef's" menu was ...and I quote " if it does not say "avec pain" or with bread, this means there is no gluten". It was then I should of politely stood up and left. Unfortunately, upon discussion with my fellow diner, we decided to cut her some slack, maybe was her first shift post pandemic. Regretfully the dining experience simply got worse, misinformed about the menu (which is by no means extensive), had to replace my meal and was presented with a "waygu" short rib of pure FAT ...yes that's right LARD. Not even 1 ounce of meat for 45$, honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have had...IMHO, should not be touting the claim of "Whether for an original gustative discovery, to enjoy the table d'hôte or to try one of their revamped classics, the 279 Bistro Urbain will give you an extraordinary experience". ...complete falsehood. To top it off, no dessert...and espresso courtesy of Nespresso. Nothing extraordinary to be found here....and service was despicable.
