Resort Village of Sun Valley
History
"The resort Village of Sun Valley was incorporated on January 1st, 1985. Sun Valley is located on the south shore of Buffalo Pound Lake which is part of the Qu'Appelle Valley system and constitutes a major recreational resource in southern Saskatchewan. Census information for 2011 established the village had 153 private dwellings with a permanent population of 80 people. The close proximity of Sun Valley to the cities of Moose Jaw (30 kms), Regina (100 kms) and other urban areas have made Sun Valley an ideal cottage and commuting location leading to an increase in year round residents over the past five years."
