Our packaging consists of eggs lightly wrapped with 1 or 2 Kleenex we dont want the eggs to be held tight when they are set in the egg carton. We want them to have a little movement within the cushioning of the Kleenex. We then layer a few Kleenex on top and close carton, setting it on a thick bed of wood chips. With a 1” gap being between the egg carton and sidewall of box we then poke wood chips in with our fingers and in between cartons if multiple cartons are being used. Layered on top with crumpled newspaper to create a cushion for when in travel those wood chips will settle leaving the top exposed. This newspaper on top prevents any issues when that happens. We Find the wood chips provide the most give to bounced and banged up boxes allowing the eggs not to be jolted as bad. Since we have started shipping this way we have not had a single broken egg in roughly 60 shipments and reports of detached air cells significantly less. We are very confident you will be pleased. Just remember to open your box outside.
