My husband and I have have worked with Bob and his team of master builders at RDCFine Homes, for over ten years. From the original planning and construction of our home in Whistler's Rainbow Estates, to the renovations in 2018, his group has always finished the work on budget, within a reasonable time -frame, and, without error. We were extremely disappointed in RDC Fine Homes and the best advice I can give to anyone considering them for their project is DON'T! We had them "try" to build what should have been a relatively simple project. They estimated that it would take 6 weeks to complete and the approved budget contract was about $165,000. After 4 months of aggravation and constant oversight, excessive and ongoing cost overruns, some real terrible workmanship and outright mistakes, we parted ways and I am now left to finish it myself or hire another contractor. Far too many issues occurred for me to detail in this review, but some low points include: •Gross mismanagement of budget and resources. Project cost went well beyond what was agreed to and signed off on. RDC eventually realized this after I expressed concerns and they fired the project manager that was assigned to my job. •Poor workmanship and constant excuses. Some I can and will correct, but others are permanent and I will unfortunately have to live with them. •Lack of supervision. Inexperienced workers were left on their own to "do their best". There was a constant turnover of different workers along with a constant theme of doing, undoing and redoing work. You're getting billed $75/hr for a 2 year apprentice to learn on your job. Other workers were observed smoking weed at the start of and throughout the day and then operating a 65' man-lift... I'm sure Worksafe would love that! We were very patient and gave RDC many opportunities to make things right. In their defense they met with us and tried to get things back on track... for significantly more money of course. Even then, however, they just didn't have the capacity to meet their own objectives... the lip service simply didn't produce real service. Don't be fooled by their marketing and advertising like we did. There are good and reliable contractors here in Whistler, but based on our experience RDC Fine Homes isn't one of them. Be warned!

I have been working with Bob and the RDC team for over 5 years on numerous projects. They build very air tight high performing homes and are a pleasure to work with! Always easy to communicate with from start to finish!

Bob Deeks and RDC Fine Homes recently oversaw a project for us in Whistler, primarily through the use of sub-trades. Their coordination of the sub-trade work went very well and, i think, speaks highly of the capacity of RDC and its people to manage projects like that.
