★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was quite impressed. I wanted to make an appointment to add a USD account to my account list. I got a bit annoyed with the voice system, thinking 'just get me to the branch reception', but when the guy came on, he could handle it all over the phone, and I didn't have to go to the branch at all. Took about 5 minutes, most of that being security questions and going thru the two different account options, and he asked me to log into my webbanking, and done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bank promised to treat me as an individual and not just a number. When I brought in a certified check from another financial institution for the sale of my van, the opposite was true. Instead of just calling the other bank for confirmation, they held the certified check for 4 business days. They offered no solutions when I explained the need for the funds immediately, to pay off my lease agreement and complete the sale with the appropriated documentation. The account manager was more concerned about telling me the fraudulent policies rather than helping or asking other people for advice in the branch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an issue with a credit card annual fee being charged by accident. Was just looking for it to be reversed. Sent an email to Suanna, the Asst Branch Manager. No response. RBC then directed me to speak with Kyle. Spoke to Kyle on the phone and he never followed up with me. Called my local branch in Lethbridge West and had the issue resolved same day. Thanks for nothing Crestwood. Horrible customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to issue a complaint regarding how I was treated at the Crestwood Branch at the Royal Bank of Canada. I came to use this bank on Saturday, March 28th around 10 am because the bank that I am a customer of is closed today. I was refused because I am not a customer.
I work during the week from 9 am - 4:30 pm and my bank (Scotiabank) is closed by the time I get off of work. All that I wanted to do was exchange two $50 and one $20 for two rolls of toonies and two rolls of quarters. I was exchanging CASH for CASH. I needed the money so that I can do laundry for my kids and myself in my apartment building.
I was allowed to go to a teller and a teller was going to help me as soon as I put down my cash on the counter. She only then asked me to put in my bank card. When I said I was not a customer, she said she could not help me. Even when I explained my situation she still would not help me! I did not have counterfeit money and she could have taken down my driver's license number for back up.
So now I have to find someone else to get my cash for me or not do my laundry. That someone else is going to have to be my dad who is over the age of 65 and should not have to be out in the community doing extra errands. Thanks for all of your help during a time when everyone should be considerate of others. We are all going through stressful times right now and I can see how your tellers/bank feels about people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I opened my RBC account in this Branch in DEC/19. I was a newcomer back them and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a diverse crew to help and I had an amazing experience back them. Everything was new and challenging but they walked me patiently through the whole process. Since them I have been in and out there a couple of times and I never had a single bad costumer service experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would steer clear of the Crestwood branch. Their customer service is below par. The RBC as a whole is a good bank in larger centers, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver or Ottawa. If you must deal with RBC in Medicine Hat, I would highly recommend the downtown location. I believe management may need a sprucing up at the Crestwood location. I can imagine that through this time of economic hardships, if you would like to have a fair shake, this branch would by far not be the branch for you. Very inconsiderate, and judgemental. Real life is happening and many people are finding themselves in situations they would not have been in prior to Covid-19. The inconsiderate attitude of the Crestwood location does not lend itself to any sort of human touch. You are as the say a rated customer. Which the branch manager will have no problem telling you and every customer around you where you sit. Your experience will more than likely vary depending. Good luck, I hope my honest opinion is of value to you and saves you time and wasted energy at this location. *Missed the customer service portion of training and maybe a few diversity courses.
