Can someone please provide an update on this project? I have tried contacting their office sales agent, but no reply. Can we get our deposits back? Please help.

Has everyone received their deposits back? I have had mine returned but did have to get a lawyer to initiate it. Started the process over 1.5 years ago

Only one salesperson on duty. Builder was not open to modifications or negotiation. Couldn't get a clear answer on how much of the project was sold to get an idea of when the project would start. We were told it would be ready in 12-18 months which seemed impossible given they hadn't started digging yet and that the project sales office had been open for months and they still weren't 70% sold.

Seemed sketchy and looked too good to be true. Development was supposed to be ready in 18 months and we visited last year. Only 70% sold when any other development has been sold out in days. We just walked by today and there is still no sign of any construction starting, not even digging. Just super over grown and an eyesore for the neighborhood. If you arent going to build sell it to someone who will! Glad we did not put a deposit here!!

Best not to waste your time attempting to communicate with developer’s “on-site” sales representative, as one will only be provided with audacious untruths and gross misguidance. Much wiser and more productive to have one’s legal representative reach out directly to developer’s solicitor (noted in Agreement of Purchase and sale) in order to ascertain clarity as to legitimacy and credibility of developer’s sales representative’s claims re “breaking ground”, “refund of deposits”, etc.

According to court files, developer (Greystar aka DiBatista Gambin) has been instructed to sell assets in order to wind up their corporation. Potential purchaser of this condo site would have the option to have the current agreements of purchase and sale assigned to them as part of the entire purchase. January 2023 is the latest date current unit buyers have in order to get their deposits back if the condo is not built by then.

My parents both in their 70s purchase a condo in 2017 wishing to downsize and retire in this small space. And not so long ago( last month) they received a letter from the builder with a price increase of $95 000 which is 25% more than what they sign which they can't afford. So I do not believe it will be build We would like to walk away from the deal but for now we are waiting for an answer from the builder for over a month Very frustrated and disappointed ?

Terrible and very frustrated Copy and edited from one of the people who posted here. My parents also in their 70s purchase a condo in 2017 wishing to downsize and retire in this small space. And not so long ago(March 2019) they received a letter from the builder with a price increase of $95 000 which is 25% more than what they signed which they can't afford. So I do not believe it will be build We would like to walk away from the deal but for now we are waiting for an answer from the builder for over 3 months. I think we should open a group for further discussion on how to get back our parent's deposit. Very frustrated and disappointed ?
