Une visite à faire.
Very nice outing. We had a really competent guide who taught us a lot about Hydro-Quebec and of course the operation of the plant.

Riche en histoire, elle est un joyau de l'industrialisation de la région. Les visites guidées sont enrichissantes, amusantes et gratuites. On en apprend beaucoup sur notre richesse québécoise : l'hydroélectricité.
Located on the Gatineau River, a river first used for transporting timber, the Rapides-Farmer generating station has been in service since 1927. Rich in history, it is a jewel of the region's industrialization. Guided tours are rewarding, fun and free. We learn a lot about our wealth in Quebec: hydroelectricity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La visite de la centrale des Rapides-Farmer était très intéressante. Elle a duré environ une heure et était gratuite. Le bâtiment est vraiment beaucoup plus beau que l'on pourrait croire en le voyant de loin. Les machines à l'intérieur sont impressionantes. Les vues en amont et en aval sont spectaculaires.
The visit of the Rapides-Farmer station was very interesting. It lasted about an hour and was free. The building is really much more beautiful than one might think by seeing it from afar. The machines inside are impressive. The views upstream and downstream are spectacular.
