Rabbit River Farms' eggs are great and have made me an egg snob... never before in my life have I become so particular about a common kitchen item. Since, finding RRF eggs in my city I purposely stop a specific grocery stores to access this brand of eggs. They cook perfectly, are of true quality, and my guests love my cooking that much more because of Rabbit River eggs! Thank you and keep it up!!

These used to be the only organic eggs I bought... However... recently they've moved to plastic packages which I cannot tolerate! Sadly I'll be reluctantly buying my eggs from someone else now. I realize there's less breakage with plastic but we must stop using single use plastics wherever we can!

I enjoy rabbit river eggs mostly because of their SPCA certification, however since they don't advertise it on their cartons I think this certification may have lapsed. I'm not sure if they were bought out but I think that's the case, which may end up in the difference in quality recently. They also just recently switched to plastic packaging which is a huge no for me, so probably moving to a different product. Overall a decent choice if you're looking for the lesser of evils with regards to animal products. Ps - not sure why people are complaining about yolk color. It depends whether they ate corn or other grains. Orange doesn't mean it's better, just that orange is marketed as being different, and therefore better.

The negative reviewers on here sound like a bunch of hangry hens. We’ve been buying eggs from the shack for a year now, so no plastic there. I’ve encountered maybe six eggs in total that had bloodspots so if you’re squeamish then go buy your eggs from a gas station lol. If all your posts on google are negative reviews then maybe you’re life goals need a little review as well haha. “Let’s set the record straight here: Yolk color has no relationship to egg quality, flavor, nutritive value, cooking characteristics or shell thickness, according to The American Egg Board. The macronutrient composition of darker-colored and lighter-colored eggs is identical, however there may be some very minor differences in micronutrient concentrations like vitamin A and lutein. All in all, an egg’s an egg.” Not affiliated

Well. Came in here to state my total disappointment with the recent plastic packaging & learned so much more. Company name change. No certified humane recognition on label?!! True. So now I must eat one of those tasteless, pale yellow ones. They used to be the most delicious eggs I’d ever tasted. Sounds like there are some more negatives to come... Have insisted on only these eggs since finding out they were the ONLY certified humane eggs able to be purchased in grocery stores. Let’s have an explanation on the website please!! No response to my emails & it’s been over a month. Called their info line & they could only answer one question- the plastic container there b/c there’s a ‘shortage of pulp’to make the cardboard ?.

Question Rabbit River: Why are these eggs not labelled “certified organic,” and why would anyone want “vegetarian feed” if chickens are omnivores? Also, vegetarian feed in Canada does not qualify the feed as animal byproducts free. Shouldn't your labelling not also include a statement saying animal byproduct free? So, does your vegetarian feed include animal byproducts, and if so, do those byproducts include chicken? Last question Rabbit River, who currently provides your third-party inspection service?

Very disappointed with the jumbo eggs I purchased today. The yolks are bright yellow... Out of the 20, 5 of them were pre-cracked. The shells were soft as well... not at all what I was expecting for something that is certified organic. For the price, these eggs are a rip off. I recommend looking elsewhere to purchase high quality and truly organic eggs. I will not be purchasing from them ever again.

Unhappily, I echo the feedback from several previous reviewers. I purchased a dozen of these premium brown large eggs from our local supermarket earlier this week. They were double the price of regular eggs but I was ethically persuaded by the signage about the happy hens and their diet. However, the eggs were bland, pretty much tasteless and had anemic pale yolks. Decidedly worse than regular "cheap" eggs in both appearance and flavour .. hens kept in luxury maybe but quality products? No
