About Quick Care Clinic

In light of the complexity of heath care operations, an effective governance framework is necessary to function well in the boardroom. In addition to ongoing changes and operating mainly with the principles of Policy Governance® as a primary element (Governance Policy GP-1 Global Governance Commitment), the Southern Health-SantΓ© Sud model blends supplemental concepts deemed most appropriate in addressing the dynamic and changing nature of health care governance. This blended mix has led to combined aspects of an effective governance system.

The Policy Governance model starts with the acknowledgment that the Board’s existence and accountability is to ensure that ‘the organization works’. All authority resides with the Board, other than what is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer. Policy Governance embraces that the Boards’ primary relationships be with the public. Leadership is practiced in three modes of governance:

  • oversight (fiduciary)
  • foresight (strategic) and
  • insight (generative)

policiesThe Southern Health-SantΓ© Sud’s Board of Directors governs with a style which emphasizes:

  • consultation with the residents and health care providers in the regional health authority
  • acceptance of diversity in viewpoints
  • strategic leadership more than administrative detail
  • clear distinction of Board and staff roles collective rather than individual decisions and
  • being future oriented and proactive

Governance is not management, one step up. It is ownership, one step down.

I would give them -10 if possible. I called at the earliest possible time, the message was "you call is very important to us, pleas wait." I waited on the phone for 8 minutes. Then the message changed to 'please, hang up and call again later'. I called again several times and the only message I got was 'please, hang up and call later'. For all the time that I used on the phone trying to make an appointment, I would be able to go to the walk in clinic instead. Worst service ever!

On the website it says they make there last appointment at 8:15, called at 7:45 and the disgruntled person said, NO! No more appointments! Thank-you so much ?

So thankful we were not turned way, when every clinic was full. My husband received great care from the Dr. Also reception was fantastic!

I don’t think they should call it a quick care clinic anymore. It’s beyond difficult to try and get ahold of someone there to get an appointment. It’s not quick whatsoever. They should have another receptionist also answering phone calls. Brutal.

Not happy! The first thing they ask is if I’ve contacted my family doctor… aren’t you a quick care clinic? Why would I wait 3 months to see my family doctor when I can call you guys and get an appointment on the same day? Also when you answer the phone and a customer is greeting you nicely don’t reply in a rude way because now i feel like being rude too!! Just something you might wanna consider!! Have had great experiences here in the past but has gone way down hill!

Useless service! You don't get a doctor at all. Called in and made an appointment to renew my prescription for 7:45pm. They called me at 4:33pm. And after 5 frustrating minutes with someone I could barely understand, they couldn't fill out my prescription anyways. Waste of time. I wish they would've let me know this when I was making the appointment. The receptionist was very polite and mostly helpful. That's why I gave 2 stars.
