Review about 7170 Darcel Ave Mississauga: The first time my husband and I saw the layout of the units in this building, we were convinced that we want this place. Two-storey apartment with central AC, in-suite laundry and two- balconies for some units plus the reasonable price of the monthly rent... Ofcourse we wanted it. However, we had no idea that we were about to experience the worst. My husband and I should have done our research beforehand. One month after moving in, we started to see cockroaches. We were told that the person who moved out on the 2nd floor was the reason why the building was "all of a sudden" infested, although reviews from months and years prior to us moving in were saying otherwise. The building itself is poorly maintained (i.e, dirty hallways, smelly and filthy garbage room/chute) and I strongly believe that is the main reason why the entire building is infested with all sorts of bugs. In addition, the building's AC works very badly. I have requested to get it fixed but all they did was look at it and change its' filters. The AC works extremely hot especially when it's 30 plus degrees outside. HVAC worker came by one day to do "repairs" but in all honesty, the guy just looked at the AC unit and walked right out. No repairs were made whatsoever. It is very difficult to get a good night sleep in this heat, considering I am 7 months pregnant. Living in a roach infested and poorly maintained building with a defective central AC is not what my husband and I expected when we signed the lease. If we can end our lease now, we definitely will. The rent will keep increasing but I am not sure if the services will improve.

I echo every other 1-star review below. DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY, AT ANY COST!!!! This company is absolutely disgraceful and their practices unethical. Their buildings are infected with rodents and insects. Conditions are filthy. We pay for a/c yet it is always "broken." Q Residential cares only about saving money, not about whether their units are habitable for tenants. If any repairs needs to be made, they hire the cheapest, most inexperienced and lazy contractors to do the work, which leads to more issues. In addition to all of this, staff are rude, arrogant and condescending in responding to inquiries or concerns. They also engage in fraudulent acts against tenants such as trying to illegally increase rent or add extra charges. I am shocked that this company remains in business. They do all of this while increasing rent. I cannot stress this enough - AVOID AVOID AVOID.

The company enjoys bringing in investors to invest their money on the proteries by showing them the very few rental units that they have completely renovated misleading the investors making them believe that all units are the same. Buildings are poorly kept clean in the public areas thus leading to infestations of bed bugs, cockroaches, and even mice which many of the tenants have already experienced! Also some units are subsidized so repairs to the units that tenants require to just even live take up to a minimum of 3 months or more and that's if the repairs are done at all !!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS property management company to anyone wanting to live in their units or have there property managed or maintained. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

Q residential just took over our building, the previous company had a number for maintenance, the supers and the office q residential has one number that is never answered so if there was an emergency we are on our own which is extremely unprofessional and unheard of they shut our water off frequently with no notice. How can this company continues to operate without being shut down shows how slack the ltb is I pay 1200 a month plus utilities for an apartment that is worth 800 at the most with this new company running the building. If possible i would give them 0 star rating.

DO NOT rent from this company it’s horrible!!!!! I was renting one of their Hamilton buildings. Building has roach infestation. The building managers and regional managers have no training. No one knows anything. I had a flood in my apartment and I was out of the country. I found out about the flood two days later, because they failed To check my file. I had provided them with my emergency contact and they also had my email. All my stuff was damaged due to negligence of the company and will be dealing with this in court. What ever concerns you address To them they ignore. I have 5000$ worth of stuff that got damaged because they left my apartment flooding for two days !!! What does that tell you? That, They are unorganized, unprofessional, rude and dirty.

I observed an employee make the mistake of disclosing their non major religious organization to these people, they treated the employee like garbage immediately afterwards, i witnessed it , but then the nice lady disappeared after, they fired her. She was extremely nice the emoloyee and disclosed her religious affiliation harmlessly to which I witnessed and immidiatly afterwards the air went sour , then removed from the company . I call the lady and she confirmed my worry’s. These people are abusive renters , they harass and intimidate me all the time , the apartments all have bed bugs and they don’t care . Their buildings are to make money and not to spend money on. Elevators go down for days at end, no heat, garbage accumulation. Stay away

Do NOT rent here. I totally regret signing the lease here. The landlords don't do a good job in upkeeping the building. Hallway carpets are filthy and need to be changed. Building smells bad. There's a leak in the first floor ceiling over a year and they just keep permanent buckets to catch the water! Roaches over run the units and I've even seen some in the lobby! Complaining to the landlords about issues in your unit can result in them threatening to evict you! Every month so many people are moving out. Units are large and spacious but very outdated. The corporation that runs the building ( Q Residential) is of no help. No one answers their phones and there's no place on their website to leave complaints. It's not a nice place to live. Plus they apparently increase the rent on a yearly basis

I have lived and helped run this building. My father ran this building for 30 years. The building was sold and the new owners are a real piece of work Live here if you don't mind living in a ice box. The superintendent is doing the best he can with what he is allowed. I have tried many times to call or email head office with no response. Also the water if off several times a month
