He really is an artist when it comes to getting the right cut for you. I travel from Langley just to see him, worth the trip! Love my new cut!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to Pure hair salon for the last 5 years. Hank is wonderful and takes all the time and attention needed to give a great style and cut. I always get compliments on my hair styles and have tried various styles with Hank. I know he stays up to date on the new trends and recommends new styles for me to try. I would highly recommend Hank.
Update: I moved to Toronto in 2016, and whenever I go back to Vancouver to visit and have time for a style or cut I go see hank. He is still the best I have experienced in North America after over 10 years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hank did an amazing job with a deep hair treatment and a haircut for my curly hair. He really took his time and knew exactly what my hair needed and what I asked for. He also gave me tips on how to car for my hair at home. I will be coming here regularly and I highly recommend him if you have textured hair like mine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have called a few times during the past week but nobody answers the phone. I went there today in person. The door was locked although I could see people inside so I knocked on the door. An asian woman came to the door but didn't open it, started talking but of course I couldn't hear her. Finally she opened the door, I told her I was there to shop for Aveda products. She said I couldn't come in and it was difficult to understand her explanation as to why. It didn't make any sense that they were open but I couldn't purchase the hair products I needed which were in plain sight. I thanked here and went on my way. Don't visit this business, it will likely be a waste of your time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hank is the sweetest. He was super friendly and patiently listened to what my expectations were, checked my hair and gave recommendations.
He also gave some great tips to style my hair without doing much.
Loved the place and experience. Will definitely go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm writing this review for those like me who may not feel confident trying out a new hair stylist. I have VERY fine and thinning hair so it is harder for me to allow someone to cut my hair for the first time. I was led to Hank and I want to say the reviews are so accurate. He was very welcoming as was the other gal working there yesterday. I will just say that he didn't have a lot to work with and he did amazing!!! I felt so grateful and even better he is an amazing human being! I appreciated his humor and that he got mine too. It was a very fun and positive experience. I would trust him with my hair anytime! I will be back! Thank you Hank for making it such a positive experience!

My hair was a mess because I used a DIY method on my own hair and messed it up. He didn't rush to fix it or pressure me to get it done in a certain way. He was so nice and explained the style available in my current situation. And he told me to let my hair grow a bit before I get my hair done. He quoted me a fair price and I will definitely return to find him. Thank you,
