Bob and associates were absolutely wonderful to work with. Hanson's in West Kelowna made the process smooth and as pleasant as it can be. They went above and beyond with small details that you would never expect.

I lost my Mom just 3 short weeks ago,, and still can't stop crying. You feel so raw, and you think the world will never be right again. Going to the funeral home is a major and painful necessity. Dealing with BOB CARLTON, the funeral director, he made the whole process and decision making a lot less burdensome. He is an absolute professional and extremely empathetic and sympathetic to your circumstances. Don't go anywhere else!

At such a difficult time we were given a beautiful ceremony even with the limitations Covid has brought to say good bye to a loved one. Working with Providence Funeral Homes in Penticton has made the death of my father even worse than it needed to be. I am not even sure where to start with this review as our family experience has been bad on top of bad. First, the entire process is confusing. You call one place (Providence) and they pass you on to whatever other funeral home they own in the area. So, while I originally committed with Lee Davidson, the person who arrived at our home to go over everything was Bob Carlton (this was after I spoke to a third person on the phone). No one explained why I would have interactions with three different people or how they were related. Second, when Bob came to our family home he walked in with his shoes on (into the house) and a poorly fitted mask. And, he had all the forms completed wrong so we couldn't even get the work done. Third, after my father had passed the funeral home posted an obituary with the wrong birth date so we had to contact them to change it. Finally, we had it arranged that the ashes would be divided and sent to different family members (agreed to by all the parties and we would cover the extra costs), then they went a head and gave all the ashes to one person. After all that, they have been very difficult to reach, ignoring emails and phone calls. This experience has truly made the death of our father worse than it needed to be. I would never, ever use this company again. Do yourself a favour and find a place that will care about your experience and treat you with the respect that should be given to grieving families.
