★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a rose gold octopus(for 150 dollars) put in my nose on January 22, 2022. I had the piercer on site put it with the bolt clasp so it can’t fall out or be taken out without tools. A month later it falls out and the shop won’t cover it and said they don’t cover things that get lost. These types of nose rings are not supposed to fall out and it fell out a month later and they blamed me for not maintaining it. I had a previous ring that was in my nose for 5 years and it never came out. This shop was recommended but a highly respected tattoo shop and I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of service. The receptionist who took my call completely blamed me and said that they wouldn’t be doing anything for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been going to Amus for all my piercing needs for 5 years, back when they were at Union. SO thrilled to finally see the Proper Poke space today! It's beautiful and has fun, unique finishings and attention to detail. Everyone up front was lovely, and Amus is the best in the business. Always professional and puts you at ease, walks you through what's next and provides follow up if needed. I've had my nostril, helix and rook now done and I won't go anywhere else. I have a wicked allergy to nickel and they have the best jewelry available (I've never once had a reaction!). Thanks Amus & team! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can not recommend this place enough, and Amus as a piercer. After having them do my double nostrils and now the re-do of my Medusa (which was done first by someone else) I can’t imagine having anyone else near me with a needle ever again! They are incredibly knowledgeable, make you feel safe and answer any concerns you may have as well. Plus the shop is super adorable so what’s not to love! 10/10 experience.
Staff are super friendly/inviting also. Thank you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a tattoo done recently here with Nicole and let me tell you this was the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had! Everyone in the shop was extremely welcoming, the vibe was fun and relaxed. When you’re spending a number of hours one on one with you’re artist it makes all the difference when they try to talk to you and make the experience relatable. I will definitely be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amus is fantastic and was able to get a (bad) piercing I thought I'd be stuck with forever out! Super understanding and they made it a fun experience. Have had both nostrils pierced by them and they look and feel amazing! Will definitely be going to them for all future piercings!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Proper poke is definitely the cutest tattoo shop in town! Love all the plants and decorations around the studio ? it's extremely spacious, well organized, and clean! Everyone there is extremely kind and also pretty cool.
I've been getting tattooed by Nicole since 2019 and I've been a regular ever since my first appointment with her. She's an amazing individual with one of the biggest hearts out there. She really does her best to make your tattoo as amazing as it can be. She takes into consideration where it's going, how to make it fit better if there's any tattoos around. She will really tailor your tattoo like it's the biggest work of art there is out there. Apart from that, she has one of the most gentle hands I've ever experienced. I got my sternum tattooed by her and she made the whole thing so much easier than I was expecting. I really cannot recommend her enough. There's a reason her books get filled pretty quickly, but believe me, she's worth the wait ?
