A Word and Spirit Church. My family and I have been members of POL Church for 5 years now. The Pastors ( Pastor Craig and Pastor Jenny) and all the guest Ministers have been a great blessing on our lifes.

I was raised a good Baptist, but I was Bible-believing first and foremost. Encountering the Holy Spirit in my college years, I went to a lot of charismatic churches looking for that balance and harmony between Word & Spirit. Pastor Craig takes his responsibility to RIGHTLY divide the word properly as he always backs everything he teaches with the Bible. Anything he can’t, he specified as it being his opinion and belief and how others believe differently. He doesn’t hold back from making it clear that he doesn’t agree with EVERYTHING that visiting preachers teach, but he still respects, honours them, and doesn’t disregard the whole message because of those things. He doesn’t follow conspiracy theories or try to “prophesy” election results! He is humble enough to share publicly his faults and confess when he’s made mistakes. He lives out what he preaches and Promise of Life Church is a testimony of what God is able to do. There’s power, love, fun, deliverance, healing, WITH solid teaching here. He expects excellence in the church while walking with love and compassion. My favourite was when he decided spontaneously to order pizza for everyone that came to church after a snow storm. (Not because of the food, but because of his glee in blessing the congregation)!? No church is perfect, but when you are taught to walk in love, not take offence and rightly use the word of God, you’ve found a safe place. I am blessed to have Pastor Craig as my pastor at Promise of Life Church. Update: I saw a review accusing Pastor of getting people to invest in a Ponzi scheme. That is a LIE from the pit of hell! I have been a part of this church since 2014 and all the messages are essentially available on livestream. Pastor never tells people about his own investments nor does he even suggest how people should invest -let alone in a particular company! I KNOW almost every other reviewer that left the positive reviews and I know who all the active members are. I’ve seen people come and go in the past 7 years and I also know that I have never seen “Netta” or heard the name of the “best friend” she referenced even though Pastor talks freely about the different people in his life! We KNOW who the board members are and this “Alex” was never one of them!

A fully multicultural church where you can clearly notice and experience the presence of God. If you're looking for a church that teaches faith, flows with the Holy Spirit and knows it's mission and purpose, this is it! If you want to know more about spiritual principles and your authority as a believer, there's very few churches I've ever been at that where miracles happen in just about every service. Definitely worth a few visits!

Very great messages from the Word of God. A fundamental charismatic church. Fun and wholesome for entire family.

It was my first time attending today. This church was very welcoming to my family and I, and we felt at home. We watched pastor Craig online for a few services and took the drive from Oshawa today, and was well worth it. Thank you.

I felt very judged and condemned while attending this church. Pastor Craig uses the pulpit to humiliate and defame previous congregation members. He is very abrasive, aggressive and greedy. I am very fortunate to have found a spirit and faith church whose pastors truly love their congregation and are able to teach and disciple their members the way Jesus would, with unconditional love!

I am writing to share a very disheartening experience our family had at a healing service we attended. My mother suffers from mental health issues. During the service my mother was in pain and started to cry out. The Pastor yelled out to the ushers to escort her out. Is that what Jesus would do? There is NO faith at this church. I cried all the way home. I would not recommend this church.
