For trucks with the 4.6/5.4L 3V engine this kit eliminates the most common failure or issue with these engines, the cam phaser. Cam phaser knock on the 4.6/5.4L 3V trucks is a very common problem, one that usually results in eventually failure of the cam phaser due to excessive movement. This causes the pin in the phaser to fracture the housing of the phaser, and in extreme cases the entire assembly can fail and damage the engine.

Adding this kit to a 4.6/5.4L 3V truck will help ensure that your cam phasers don’t suffer premature failure. It will eliminate any knocking noise heard from the front valve cover/timing cover area related to the phasers as well.

These solid lockouts lock the internals of the cam phaser to create a fixed gear with no moving parts and no internal mechanisms to make noise or fail. Simple in design and requiring no special tools to install, our wedge tool increases ease of installation.

I missed out all that time, friendly service, knowledgeable people and good price. they do go back and forth to their warehouse often the same day so parts can be available same day if they stock it and you call them in the morning. will definitely recommend this place to everyone

They are busy at times as one person mentioned but can't blame them for that just shows how good of a job they do.

Waited 35 minutes,before I was told box had holes in it and they wanted to send back because they didn't trust it was all there! Picked up box nxt day with holes in it and they didn't tell me I'd need adapter kit!? won't be going back! ☹?

I've also ordered a few special order items from them before. My block requires very specific detail oriented assembly due to the modifications being done that is different from what they were used to. Nevertheless, they did their due diligence and did an incredible job. Their labor and part pricing is more than fair, and they've always been open and honest with me about back orders and when complications in shipping from the manufacturer happen (not their fault). They are extremely knowledgeable and I'll be continuing to use them with my current project and in all of my future projects!
k	kyle boutilier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought a set of vortec heads to them. All i wanted done was the spring pockets machined so that i could run LS beehive springs. I agreed to them hot tanking them. Asked if they would number the valves as i wanted to reuse them. Asked them not to remove a broken exhaust stud as i could do it myself. They removed the broken stud. They hot tanked AND glass beaded them. Did a 3 angle valve job. Surfaced them. Did not clean or lap the valves. Replaced a valve guide. I got the valves back in a box not numbered. They never touched the spring pockets. Bill was almost 1000.00. He let me take them for 460. Now im going to another machine shop to have the original job done. Disappointed in the extra cost and down time this has caused.

Rebuilt a complete new 440, best price in Edmonton hands down (i checked everyone). Got car back had small coolent leak on new 440 header (very common on new engine) Jay came to Sherwood Park and fixed in my garage made a home visit. Great family business, thanks everyone for fixing my car. 2 big thumbs up.

I brought my block in to get cleaned up and informed them that it was a numbers matching block and I was just looking to do a basic build on it. I received it back with all the numbers ground off and covered in dried cutting fluid. Not only that but the cylinders were horribly done and I paid a lot of money for this. Next thing is my aluminum heads I was talked into buying instead of getting my cast ones rebuilt. I was given the build sheet and after fighting with the builders I finally got them for the price originally agreed upon not the price tag of double of what we discussed. On later inspection of the heads I found cheap dollar store valves were installed not the quality ones the build sheet said were installed. Overall this has been a horrible experience and next time I’ll be taking my engine somewhere else. I’m sure this shop used to do quality work but it looks like that isn’t the case anymore.
