Charged me for labor to fix my slow leak because my "bolts were too tight" are you kiddding me, the slow leak is still there, and they wont take responsibility to fix it saying I drove on it while it was flat. Scam

I was looking for a new place for my car maintenance so I tried this place. They are very professional and I have no issues with the quality. However, the devil is in the details, the overall experience was disappointing. They didn't respect their initial delay commitment (due to part supply) and made no attempt to compensate. Also, on an expensive job, they charged me 6$ for a battery for my key that I didn't ask them to change. They charged 30 minutes of work (50$) for a general "inspection" when it was pretty apparent what the problem was. I'm afraid that it will be difficult for me to trust them for future work.

I went to this mechanic to get my front axle shaft replaced. The service was quick, which is why this isn't given 1 star, however the prices were attrocious. The hourly rate unit is standard, at $109.95, no problem there, however I cannot help but feel scammed at the atrocious price of the part. I looked online, and found axle shafts for my Infiniti M35x are around $150-$200. I figured this was only online prices, so I called around some local auto parts stores to figure out what their prices looked like. I was told Axle Shafts go for around $190-$210 right out of the store, including guarantee. I called Pro Mecanique St-Laurent to figure out why the part on the receipt is labeled as $420 (they reduced 10%, leaving it at $376). I was told prices vary from store to store, that availability can alter the price,.. I understand these variables, and that the garage has to make some $$ on the parts, however an increase of 100%/2x the price on a piece is disgusting and dishonest. They said the part comes with a guarantee, however if you're going to charge me 210$ extra for that, i might as well buy the piece myself if it miraculously ends up breaking again.. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this mecanic, and advise anyone else to either stay away, or be very cautious and demand the price of the piece you're getting fixed beforehand.
