Pro Dance

I started taking classes with Ciprian at Pro Dance in February 2021 and can confidently say he is the most professional, passionate, knowledgeable but also fun and humorous ballet instructor I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He has a talent for drawing out the most potential in each student and as a result the improvement of his dancers is undeniable. I think this comes from a few things. Firstly his incredible attention to details and knowing how to explain corrections - I’ve never had a teacher explain things in such a logical manner that instantly helped with certain moves (as long as I remember to apply the corrections of course!). Secondly his immense knowledge when it comes to ballet, of the art form, of the human body, of musicality and everything ballet encompasses. Having a teacher that can easily explain what muscles to engage and more importantly how is a gift as a dancer. Additionally I love learning about the artistry and history of ballet, and being introduced to wonderful music and composers, all of which Ciprian easily sprinkles into classes. Lastly, his passion for ballet and how he genuinely cares for and believes in his students is one of the things I appreciate most. This motivates me to work even harder and gives me confidence to believe in myself, which is much easier when you know your teacher is truly standing behind you and supporting you. Thank you Ciprian, I’m so happy I found Pro Dance!

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? I came across Cirprian’s studio by chance and I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found a place as his student at ProDance. I’ve taken some adult ballet classes here and there over the years but have learned way more in my short year with Ciprian than all the previous years combined. First of all, his successful career as a professional dancer for decades is in itself a testament to his talent and expertise. Next I would say is his profound depth of knowledge. While he teaches us great technique, we are also learning so much more than that. Ciprian always has something to teach us (he certainly knows his stuff!) From the history of dance, to the roots of the language, from music and composers to anatomy, he weaves all these elements together beautifully into a tapestry that becomes a fun and informative class. We aren’t robots at the barre, mechanically doing plies. He pulls the artistry out of the tiniest finger tip to remind us we aren’t just “going through the motions” we are dancing each and every step of the way! Last but certainly not least is the community that he has created. During some of the toughest times, Ciprian has managed to maintain connection and community when it lacked on a global scale. He brings unwavering passion and dedication to his students and the art of dance. There have been many days I’ve been tired and down after work and life…. But after my classes with Ciprian and many good laughs throughout, I always walk out feeling happier and lighter. Whether you want to go the professional track, or you’re an adult that has always dreamed of trying ballet but didn’t think you could, or maybe you just love to do ballet in your spare time… Ciprian brings out the best in dancers no matter where you’re coming from. I don’t hesitate for a second in recommending Pro Dance!

When I came to Pro Dance, everybody was so kind to me. Mr. Ciprian has taught his students to not only be amazing incredible dancers but also to be friendly and polite. He has the best humour but he is also strict with dancing. In the best way possible. I have had the most amazing experience dancing with Mr. Cirprian. Pro Dance is most definitely the best dance studio I have ever been at. Mr. Ciprian is funny, sweet, outgoing, intelligent, talented and an excellent dancer. Thank you so much for teaching me everything I know.

My 7 year old daughter recently started taking ballet lessons at ProDance. The studio is centrally located on Marine drive and 15th and has parking. The studio is spacious, clean, bright and has a welcoming atmosphere. The teacher Ciprian is an exceptionally talented teacher who teaches beautiful ballet. He is funny, kind and believes in his students abilities. My daughter absolutely loves the lessons. I’m so happy to find the best teacher for my daughter.

Pro Dance is such a welcoming and emotionally uplifting environment, it is a pleasure going to class every day. Especially when you have Mr. Ciprian, a helpful, intelligent, creative choreographer and mentor that I have had the privilege to work with for the last 5 years. I can proudly say I have exceeded my expectations on the growth of my technique and skills in dance all with his helpful advice, corrections and gratitude for the love of the art.

What a fantastic dance studio with really dedicated and inspiring teachers, led by Mr. Ciprian Stanulescu. My daughter and I have enjoyed lessons with Mr. Ciprian at Pro Dance for 3 years. Mr. Ciprian is both an accomplished and talented dancer in his own right and he translates that talent into his teaching which is both focused, with an attention to details but also immensely enjoyable. He works his students hard and always wants them to succeed. He provides a very high level of teaching with the Vaganova method. The studio is bright, spacious with a great quality dance floor. I would strongly recommended Pro Dance for all levels of dance enthusiasts, whether you are looking for some serious training, brush up on your technique or you just love to dance and want to have some fun and enjoy dance.
