Having been a local in Vancouver for 40 years I decided I should do this tour to see the whales. Usually I just get lucky on a BC Ferry but they are so far in the distance it isn’t that amazing. But with this tour we got nice and close so we could get good pictures, and even could hear the blowing sound once or twice. The boat is very comfortable and the staff were great. Definitely recommend for a local or a tourist.

We did the half day Whale Watching tour on Sunday at 12pm. The crew (Wilma, Sandy, Malcolm, Emilie, Mairead) were absolutely lovely and so knowledgeable. Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate was provided. It was not crowded at all, very comfortable. Covid regulations were great. We were out for 5 hours and saw a humpback whale, harvest seals, sea lions and bald eagles. The scenery was beautiful. Would definitely recommend!

After 5 full days of adventure in Vancouver we all came to conclusion that this whale tour was the highlight of the trip! WOW! We saw 10-12 humpback whales, a pod of 9 orcas and sea lions! Two hours in and we still hasn't seen any whales, we were starting to get discouraged. But the whales made an appearance and we spent the next two hours enjoying their company. Such amazing creatures. Thank you Prince of Whales team! Very knowledgeable staff, great crew. And thanks to the photographers on board who shared their photos with all of us! When I go back to Vancouver in the future, another tour is top on my list!

This was a fantastic day and I would definitely go again. The whole crew was super friendly and welcoming. The naturalist, Wilma, was knowledgeable and made our time fun and memorable and was a big highlight of the trip. We didn't even see whales but regardless my entire party had an incredible day and the crew were great at making sure we got the most out of the amazing things we did see. The captain did his best to try to find the whales and it was very much appreciated as we covered more territory than normal and got to see some amazing things. I am very much looking forward to another trip to (hopefully) see some whales and will highly recommend this to anyone in the Vancouver area.

We were surprised that there were tickets available. Only issue we had was getting a hold of someone at the location. It was definitely our fault trying to buy tickets on the day of but they start at 8:30 with their first tour in the morning but the office is not opening until 9am. That was a little confusing for us but we got a hold of someone a bit after 9am. I would highly recommend doing this at once during your visit. The tour guide was amazing at explaining everything and we kept going until we saw what we went for. We got to see "Big Mama" which is a rare sighting. We also got to see seals. I never knew that was part of the ride but it was very nice. The experience was unreal and cannot wait to go back.

Unbelievable experience from start to finish. The cold rain added some mood to our day. All of the Prince of Whales staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable. It was really incredible to see some humpback whales up close, and so fun to be part of a group as excited to see them as we were. As a bonus, we received an e-mail with a bunch of excellent photos of the whales we saw, so we can enjoy these memories forever. This experience will not be forgotten anytime soon!

Absolutely incredible experience! My mom and I were in Vancouver for a week and whale watching was on our list and Prince of Whales came highly recommended and I see why. The crew was very kind and incredibly informative (I can’t remember their names but it was the crew on August 19 in the afternoon). We got incredibly lucky and saw several whales, seals and and an eagle! The experience itself was fantastic and if you’re in the area, you have to check out Prince of Whales to get a full appreciation of the wildlife and nature! At the end, they send you photos taken throughout the journey - I’m attaching some here as my own photos do not do everything justice!

What a fabulous time we had. We got lucky with the weather and the calm seas. The day before they had rain and rough seas. That is the way it goes sometimes, but they have a great smooth riding boat. Plenty of spots all around the boat to see the whales and landscape. The team on the boat was fantastic and very knowledgeable. They taught us quite a bit about the whales, wildlife and the area. This was our first time in Vancouver and this was one of the best things we did while visiting. Well worth it, I would highly recommend it. Thanks for a great experience!
