About Premal Patel, MD
It is time to reform how we – physicians, urologists, and society – view Men’s Health. We’re here to implement a comprehensive approach.
Both Dr. Patel and Dr. Nayak are Assistant Professors in the Department of Surgery at the University of Manitoba and are sub-specialists in Men’s Health. After completing training in urologic surgery, they have each completed additional fellowship training in the U.S. to sub-specialize in the full array of health issues unique to men.
Men’s Health Clinic Manitoba is the first specialty run clinic in Canada with expertise in all the issues unique to men ranging from infertility to prostate cancer management. We strive to offer rapid access to specialist level care through a hybrid model of virtual and in person appointments. Through partnership with a primary care physician we also provide easy access to care whereby patients can also self-refer to the clinic. With on-site procedure rooms, we increase the timely delivery of care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reached out to Dr. Patel for a vasectomy reversal last year. I was able to book an appointment fairly quick and surgury went well. A few months following the surgury, it was a success and we've got a baby boy on the way! The facility and staff were excellent and I couldn't have asked for a more personalbe doctor. All of my pre-op and post op. phone appointments were very professional and informative. I'd highly reccommend Dr.Patel for this type of procedure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Patel performed the “Rezum Water Vapor Therapy” procedure for me recently. I have been very impressed with Dr. Patel’s professionalism, sincerity, compassion and superlative bedside manner throughout the entire process. Always attentive to my concerns, he listened carefully to my questions and offered well-thought-out answers in layman’s terms, demonstrating his deep understanding of the procedure. He never rushed the discussion and always asked if I had any other questions, which he then answered to my complete satisfaction. I felt entirely at ease having him provide this procedure for me.
Phone consultations were always completed at the promised time, and Dr. Patel’s Surgical Office Assistant has always been cheerful and excellent in arranging telephone and office visits.
The care I received from Dr. Patel before, during and after the procedure has been superb.
I am very grateful to Dr. Patel for having brought the Rezum procedure to Manitoba and indeed the entire region through his own initiative, as he is the only Urologist offering this procedure in all of Western Canada.
