★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I snowshoed the Prairie Winds Trail (formerly the White Tailed Deer Trail) recently and it is a short, 1.5 km loop trail beginning from the south road in Birds Hill.
The trail is designated for snowshoeing in the winter. Unfortunately, what little snow there was at the time I visited, had been pretty packed down by people walking on the trail, so it didn't make for good snowshoeing conditions. The trail led through a mix of forest and grassland landscape and was pretty. I only wish it had been longer!
Hoping that we get more snow so that the conditions improve here for snowshoeing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice quick trail that loops back to the parking lot. An absolute favourite for hand feeding the chickadees. Can be quite heavily travelled so if you're hoping not to bump into anyone you might want to try a different trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely trail with lots of nature and a nice lookout tower. You can also go off the trail to the campground, which has washrooms, or you can connect with the Pine Ridge Trail as well. Very easy trail and great for everyone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice easy 1.5 kilometer hike that is great for kids. A deer viewing stand aboit half way around. Flat trail through both forest and prairie.
