Full Restoration and Refinishing Services. The furniture you own, just inherited or you are thinking about refinishing or repairing is an important part of history. It's probably made of better material (real woods and wood veneers) and was crafted to be durable and serviceable for many years. If you have bought new furniture in the last 20 years you have seen this is usually not the case. Most new furniture is made from ground paper and wood pulp with an ever thinning wood veneer and construction techniques that are questionable at best. Use of plastics is at an all time high. Although newer furniture is somewhat serviceable it can be more expensive to repair than your older quality constructed pieces. Good refinishing brings back vibrant original colors and showcases the wood under modern more durable coatings that offer beauty and protection. And I have over 130 different colors to choose from, as well as many different techniques. What I offer is professional furniture refinishing and restoration of antiques, modern, home, office and institutional furniture. I use dyes, stains and clear finishes not found in big box stores, for a more deep even color range, and better durability. As well, I utilise modern spray equipment in a heated and filtered shop that eliminates dust and particulates seen in most finishing. Why have paints or finishes slapped on with rollers and brushes used for walls, when it can be applied with the proper tools and techniques.And while most of my competitors offer refinishing, I also have the tools, knowledge and services to restore and fabricate missing and broken pieces of your furniture. From chair repairs to table leg fabrication and much more available. My refinishing involves completely stripping your furniture to bare wood and starting from scratch at a new layer of material.....NOT covering up the old finish with the new.That’s why some call it `like new` and not `new`.When I am done, you literally have a new piece of furniture! The customer service was excellent and I would recommend Prairie Winds Interiors to anyone looking for furniture refinishing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few months ago we had Steve fix an antique chair which was broken by the kids. It ended up, better than new and we knew we had found a furniture expert.
Last week we brought a dresser in for painting. Steve sanded, filled holes, sprayed it in the colour I selected and changed the hardware. We got it back today and it is absolutely beautiful.
Steve sent us photos at every step which was very much appreciated. His response time is within 24 hours. He is very professional and answered all our questions very clearly and with great patience. You can tell by his enthusiasm that he loves his work. His prices are very reasonable as well.
Unfortunately, he is busy next week as I have another dresser that needs doing. That’s okay, the quality of his work is worth the wait. ?
