★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mothers day 2014. Reservations were made, arrived to find a busy restaurant. Told only two $25 meals were available, no ala carte. Noticed all other tables had other meals that were served to them including pizza. Food was served over an hour after ordering, other tables who had arrived after us were receiving their orders, some still receiving pizza, which was told to us, was not available. Server was very apologetic, managerette was defensive and rude in her reasoning for the inconsistencies in service.
Was a shame for this, as ruined an otherwise good meal with my mother who drove from Killarney and us from Morden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was good but the service was very slow because either a server didn't show up or there isn't one. Another restaurant patron started serving to help the cook.
The water is also salty tasting in Crystal City, so keep that in mind while ordering. The homemade soup was really good, but salty.

My husband loved his experience at the restaurant with John. He talked about him all the way home.
Worth the drive, definitely headed back again in the near future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first time in Canada and we decided to stop at this small restaurant for lunch. We asked if anything on the menu wasn't available (after ordering a few things and being told she didn't have it) and we were told only the crossed out things were unavailable. Well, when we went to order we had to pick something else because what we wanted was unavailable. Other than that, the food we did get was delicious and the one woman working was kind and helped us in paying with USD.
