All guest at Prairie Dog Kennels must be socialized playful pets. We strive to achieve a safe comfortable atmosphere for your pet while you are away. Our guests are fully vaccinated and come with a copy of their up to date Veterinarian records. Male and female pets must be neutered or spayed to ensure the safety of all pets boarding at Prairie Dog Kennels. It is recommended that vaccinations be done at least 7 days prior to boarding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people who run this place care about dogs and know what they are doing. They have a huge fenced enclosure where they let the dogs run and play. A few minutes after they put ours back int the kennel they noticed that she started acting strange but in subtle ways. Immediately knowing that something serious had happened they called us up and told us they were taking the dog to the vet and for us to meet them there. Our dog got taken in right away since they called ahead. Unfortunately the vet informed us that the dog's stomach had turned due to a seizure and needed to be put down. They stayed with us throughout the whole process, consoling us and handing us kleenex, even though they didn't have to. The time eclipsed from first seizure to euthanization was about 45 minutes.
Note: Our dog was getting old and the seizure she got could have happened anywhere. It was totally unrelated to the state of their facility.
Being able to spot the subtle signs of a dog getting sick and staying with us till she was put down shows their care and attention to detail. Your dog couldn't be in better hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is hands down the best place I have ever taken my pups. I honestly cannot say enough about the family that run this establishment. They are the only kennel I use and I use them several times a year. My dogs bark and shake with excitement the second we pull on to their road. They then bolt out of my car and cannot get into the building quick enough (though you should always leash your dog at drop off and pick up). The owners know dogs well and all the behaviors that come with them. At times I question if my one pup loves me or the owner more .. haha.
