★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter went for a tooth extraction. They pulled the wrong tooth out. In good faith she went back for a toothache. They wanted to pull her tooth out without making any attempt to repair it. She went to Greenwood Dental Centre and they were able to save her tooth. I would not recommend Portage Dental to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I see Dr Corrin. Too bad to hear about the comment below. Which Dr did you see? I have seen Dr Corrin since I was 3 years old. He is an incredible Doctor. I am 26 now. I am happy to go see him and happy when I leave. The staff is also incredible. As a little kid he had changed my perception of Dentists. He probably doesn't even know this. I might have been around 6 years old and I pushed the needle away from my face for numbing for a cavity. It was scary! He was so calm and so nice to me, and he took away the pain. So my experience as a kid was always positive even in scary situations. As an adult I have always felt he has done a good job and doesn't rip me off. I recommend him to all my friends and family, even co workers. The man knows what he is doing and I respect him. My smile is one of the biggest compliments I get and I owe so much of that to this dental studio. Thanks for literally giving me a lifetime of dental advice and keeping my smile the healthiest it can be. Thank you !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I use to be a patient with Dr Winograd until I lost two molars that had filling replacements on a Friday morning. The two molars cracked and I was in severe pain over entire weekend. Not that an emergency contact number would have helped, as when I came in after the weekend, Dr Winograd failed to believe my pain and told me he wasn't going to give me medication...by the end of the week I had been to a few clinics to receive pain care for my bruised face and headache both caused by my two cracked molars and was urged by the health clinic to seek a second opinion on my molars. After seeing Dr Winograd for a second appointment that week to ask why I was so swollen, bruised and the pain intolerable, and he brushed off, yet again, I sought a second opinion. Almost immediately. The new dentist confirmed I had cracked molars and that my roots were inflamed. That infection was setting in. She gave me medicine to help with he inflammation, and had emergency root canal the next day and and a second root canal the week after.
When I confronted Dr E. Winograd about the findings, he played it off like it was hard to figure out a cracked molar. In my opinion, the bruised and swollen face, migraines and tears should have sufficed.
I experienced unnecessary pain, major tooth loss, a major financial loss and a traumatic experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the years I have had many dentists and have had a very negative experience with just about all of them. They would do un-necessary or find additional work on my teeth knowing I had a Government Blue Cross Plan. It seemed their goal every year was to max out my dental plan and then some. Dr. Corrin is the only dentist I have been lucky to find that has been honest and not tried to rip me off. I really respect that. He is a real keeper and one in a million.
