Amazing new facility at PoCo, all amenities under one roof. Affordable and convenient.

I'm very disappointed with the new facility. The pool is a waste. It was supposed to alleviate pressure on Hyde Creek. The main pool is what needed help as it's not open to the public when lessons or training is going on. We didn't need another indoor kiddie pool that is only open from 1030-1 on weekends ?‍♂️. The pool change rooms are very small. 4 men would find it tight. The other issue is 5he library is on 2 floors. Where we used to be able to leave our kids in their section while we could look in the adult area now, we can't do that as they are on their own bottom floor of the facility. I'm guessing this center was designed mostly for the ice and the rest was an after thought ?‍♂️

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been to Poco. The rec center is great, parking under, about time the did that. A lot of things going on. The Quilting Guild used one of the utility rooms, lots if room, easy to get to though some of the people who attended said it was too cold, and it's usually too cold , the reason for the 4 out of 5. People need to be comfortable. Easy to get to, easy to park at and a lot of things going on, well done.

The facility itself is very nice, the corridors are bright and I like that they have incorporated lots of glass with concrete and wood. The pool is honestly lame, mostly for kids, hardly any lanes so it's not meant for actually swimming. The fitness area is on 2 floors, but the change room and bathroom are outside, so you need to scan in and out to if you need to use the washroom, seems like a weird design. The gym is generally lackluster, has no interior design appeal and it seems like equipment choices and the layout were done by a committee of people who never actually workout. Ice rinks and lacrosse courts/stands are impressive which seems to be where most of the facility focus is geared towards.

I work across the street and I was SO SO SO excited for this pool to open when it was being built! And then it opened and it was glorious! Individual showers! A suit spinner! An incredible hot tub! It was all my pool dreams come true! I had already planned to buy a year long membership. Then covid hit and it was closed for over a year (understandably). However when the pool reopened, it now has such bizarre hours I can no longer go. I generally swim before work, as I work late nights, somewhere between noon and 4pm, the exact times this pool is no longer open. I'm so disappointed. It really is such a lovely pool and now I'll never be able to swim there unless they change their hours. Seriously disappointing.

Absolutely love the pool! Very clean! Great amount of change rooms and lockers. Perfect pool for tots and adults alike. The shallow end with water table is very enjoyable for the little ones. Hot tub is great! Had such a good time with the little one. Only complaint is hopefully more afternoon hours will come up in summer for open swim. I’m sure they have lessons in the afternoon but would be great to have afternoon hours on the weekends for drop in. That’s my only complaint as I would love to go more!

Amazing venue. We've been there for a few hockey games in the Jon Baillie arena. Great score board. The locker rooms are spacious and well equipped.

New facility, looks nice but it is somewhat uninviting; hard to determine what is available at the site, and when. Pre-registration for everything online but be aware of cut off dates. Available hours seem limited, and often looks canceled maybe due to low enrollment/covid? Mainly available mornings and midday for seniors and youth. It would be nice to have hours that accomodate people who work. Hope to be able to make use of facilities more in future if extended hours available.
