★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poplar Mechanics removed a large tree for the City of Medicine Hat on the boulevard in front of my house in June of 2019. The crew just threw and dropped all the large branches on our lawn damaging the grass and causing deep large divots. They also threw the branches down damaging the front sidewalk on our property. I contacted the City of Medicine Hat to rectify the damage and they were absolutely useless. I contacted Poplar Mechanics. They came up and threw a little bit of dirt and grass seed on some of the divots and said it was fixed. It looks terrible. I then asked them about the concrete sidewalk damage. They finally agreed to pay $ 1,500.00 towards the removal and replacement of the sidewalk but I still have not received any payment 8 months later. I personally would not hire
nor recommend this company for any tree trimming or tree removal service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had 5 very large Poplar type trees on my vacation property that I wanted removed. They were 40' + in height and the stumps are over 30" in diameter. What made this job difficult was the size of the area to work in. There was only 8' between the eave of my boathouse and my neighbour"s cabin. I contacted Poplar Mechanics and they came right out to give me an estimate. We agreed on a price and date, and Dustin and his team showed up right on time. Two and a half days later, the trees were gone. Dustin actually took each tree down from the top, lowering branches and trunks to the ground by rope. During the entire effort, none of my small evergreen trees growing up between the Poplars were damaged. Dustin's team did a great job of cleanup. I would highly recommend Poplar Mechanics Tree Service.

The contact came on Saturday to estimate the cost and time and the work was completed by the following Tuesday. The team did excellent work, took great care with all safety aspects and were very considerate of close surrounding properties. This was our second time using Poplar Mechanics for a large project, with both the cost and overall workmanship being outstanding. We highly recommend their tree service.

This time, we wanted the tree partially cut to make room for a tree house! Dustin did an excellent job, making safety a priority, and left the yard very clean! Thanks so much!

We had a giant, dying tree in a terrible location in our back yard that other compagnies where going to either charge us a fortune to remove or were unwilling to do it at all.
Dustin assured me he’d be able to take care of it (and for a fair price at that) and came within a week. He took away the stumps and left the yard even cleaner than when he came. We are blown away and so pleased with this service! Could not recommend more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dustin returned my call and came over to take a look. Quoted me a price and said it would be about 3 weeks which was fine. He called in 2 weeks and came over and did a lot of tree removal 2 big and 4 medium sized trees. They trimmed overgrown shrubs and trimmed all other trees. Rob and Dustin worked hard and were awesome to deal with! Thanks Guys you were awesome!
