About Ponoka Golf Club

Hole 11 – Par 4 – 383 yards

Hole number 11 is one of the most under rated holes on the course. A 230 yard STRAIGHT tee shot is a must. Hit Driver if you dare! Watch for pin placement, the green is 50 yards long and can change second shot by 3-4 clubs.

Hole 12 – Par 4 – 400 yards

Hole number 12 has a dog-leg left where you must cut the corner to allow for a short iron in. Straight away leaves a long iron to fly a DEEP Pot bunker in order to reach this green in regulation.

Hole 13 – Par 4 – 365 yards

Hole number 13 has a dog-leg right. Cutting the corner allows for a sand wedge into a large green. Conservative play is straight away which leaves you 150 yards in. A 3 wood or long iron is all you need off the tee.

Hole 14 – Par 4 – 331 yards

Hole number 14 is a short par 4. Go for the green… but don’t styray right or left…TROUBLE. Long iron to 3 wood puts you in sand wedge range to a large receptive green.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. We appreciated the Covid safety practices that were in place to promote a safe playing environment. Special kudos to Head Professional Ryan Moore for his excellent customer service!

The chef came out and guided us to pro shop. He says try the burger at the turn after nine. I will get back to that shortly. We went into the pro shop and were greeted by very friendly staff. We played 27 holes. The first 18 off the silver tees. Last 9 off the black to stretch it out. Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways were average and greens excellent. They are fast and true. This is a hidden gem. Now back to the burger. Yummy. Homemade patty and bun. I’m an old dog that knows good food. That burger is top notch. We play Wolf Creek 5 or 6 times a year and will now play here as well as this course is a great track. If your not a golfer just go for the burger. You will not be disappointed.

The staff were excellent to deal with while hosting our event and their in-house restaurant catered a delectable buffet meal with amazing desserts to follow! I would fully recommend booking your event here, stopping by for a bite, or taking in a round of golf. Either way, you'll have a lot of fun visiting.
