To visit Kenora and not dine at the Plaza Restaurant would be a Greek tragedy! What began as a simple diner back in 1969 has evolved into one of Kenora’s iconic restaurants. While Thanasis (Tommy) & Maria Adamopoulos introduced Kenora and the Lake of the Woods Area to the Mediterranean diet and the “Greek” way of life, Konstantina has successfully carried on the family tradition using her parent’s authentic recipes & lovingly makes everything from scratch. The Plaza also offers delicious pastas, full-flavoured steaks, succulent seafood, savoury ribs and of course mouth-watering Lake of the Woods walleye. Open Tuesday to Saturday at 4pm for “touchless” take-out, delivery and dine-in, the Plaza is home to the “Greek Gods of Casual Fun Dining & Touchless Delivery & Takeout” OPA!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend and I tried to go for dinner and were refused entry by the owner because my girlfriend did not have a QR code for her vaccinations, which she is unable to get because one dose was in Manitoba and one in Ontario. She still has the receipt from the Ontario Government saying she has two valid doses, which has been accepted at every place we've been to once we explained the situation. All of this happened 3 days prior to the vaccination requirement being lifted entirely, which was the biggest disappointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exemplary service from knowledgable staff. Delicious food for every palate and pocket book. Tina aims to please. I watched her last night, speaking with a little girl who didn't eat what she had ordered because she didn't like it. Kids right? She offered to cook her something else, listing off many different items. They finally settled on chicken fingers. In a few minutes, out it came and a happy little girl ate her supper!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for a work function, its been probably over 10 years since I've eaten at the Plaza. Restaurant was pretty quiet for a Thursday night. Servers were pleasant and attended to us frequently. Our group had a couple appetizers, the mixed platter and pita bread plus the fried cheese - both tasted great. I had their Greek Combo ie ribs, chicken skewer, Greek potatoes, rice pilaf, and veggies. Everything was moist, and tender. Ribs were kind of bland, I would've preferred more seasoning on them. The rest of the items were awesome.

We stopped over night in Kenora and ordered delivery to our hotel … it came right when they said and it was still hot and fries were crispy ( a big issue I find with delivery sometimes ) the greek salad was fresh and delicious just like everything else we ordered. Truly wish I lived closer to come here more often … thank you for such a great meal!!
