There is always something exciting and beautiful to watch happening at this public art display area. There are interactive features. For example, this winter there are lighted Teeter totters that are very arttful and fun to play upon. Close by there is coffee, restaurants, and a fabulous shopping mall. There is also a Museum of Contemporary Art. A visit to Montreal would be incomplete without coming to this area.

This year's edition of Montreal en Luminerie is a little disappointing. The main free venue is smaller, due to the ever present construction that has hampered Montreal nowadays. There are activities to enjoy like the Ferris wheel, the ice slide (very fast!), and the zip line. Alcohol is readily available as well as some food kiosks. Atmosphere wise, it seems to be less energy compared to previous years. There are more indoor events like food gastronomy and arts shows/demos. Kid friendly activities are present so the whole family can enjoy as well. Although the 2019 edition of this event isn't up to par as the previous years, attending is still enjoyable.

Very nice closed steet with a lot of activities and restaurants, too bad this area has too many homeless and unstable people

Montréal en Lumiere is a fun festival for families, visitors, and locals. It has entertainment for children, food and drinks for foodies, a ferris wheel, a zip line!, live show and music. La nuit Blanche is Saturday, goes till 3 am!

It is beautiful to walk on Ste-Catherine street after sunset to see all the Christmas lights lit on and visit each little boot where you can buy food like bretzels, drinks like warm wine, and lots of little Xmas gifts. It was even more magical when it was snowing!

Was in Montreal for a week of Just For Laughs festival and visited this place almost nightly. Great venue for a comedy show, it held a few thousand people max and the sound was clear and crisp. The area was surrounded with many stations for children of all ages to keep everyone busy. Not sure if it's always like this, or because the JFL's was in town, regardless it was a beautiful place to enjoy our evenings.

This is a really nice part of Montreal to hang out at or go for a walk. Can’t wait to catch and outdoor concert or festival here one day ??
