For anyone who's read the gothic horror novel, The Woman in Black, by Susan Hill, then the walk along the top of the dam at Pittock Lake should remind you of the causeway that features so prominently in the narrative of that book, especially when the early morning mist hovers along the surface of the water and clings to the lower bowers of the trees that line the shore. A wonderful walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Serenity now. You can get from Vansittart Ave to Lansdowne Ave. in 15 minutes doing a nice leisurely walk. On a bike you can get across town in 5 minutes by the trail route. Really nice the city has cleaned up Roth Park & repaved the parking lot. Love living on the Pittock Dam trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice spot for a walk. if your into fishing alway a bunch around doing that aswell. Definitely recommend if you had a hour to spare. Not sure full size of it. Didn't go down the one path. I would say it was in the mid size range. Enjoy if you have a chance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dam is beautiful in all weather and seasons. Really, it's the wide open view out over the water and all of the trees and rushes along the banks that make the view so pretty. The walkway over the dam is paved. There are walking trails nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great access to the dam. Nice view, saw a big hawk relaxing in the tree. The area is clean, and well preserved. Good place to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and get some fresh air. Would recommend for anyone who needs to get some exercise during these trying times.
