Excellent busy campground. Everything from pup tents to colossal class a motorhomes. The train is very close to the campground and is very noisy, runs 24 hours. I didn't even notice it after a little while because this place is so beautiful. Playgrounds and washrooms located strategically around the park. Small cafe for burgers and ice cream. There are a few things in the office for sale if you forgot something. Make sure you know where you are going because there are some dead ends that are very tight with cars on one side and boat trailers on the other. Great beach for swimming, with boat rentals.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here. They were kind enough to accommodate us last minute and made sure we had everything we needed to get settled. Our campsite was really close to the beach and was relatively private. There was a train that drove by every 30 minutes or so but it didn't bother us. Washrooms were nice and clean but you do have to pay to shower. Overall, it was a great little stay.

The location and staff were great; unfortunately there are a few cons: the first section of campground was all DIRT. Each site is marked off by a rail or two. In addition to that, the campground is tucked snugly between the lake and the train, which seems to go by at least 5 times a night - and in a tent you can feel the ground shake. Beach access is down a flight of stairs, unless you walk down toward the dog beach. For pros, it has a big bathroom with sinks, flush toilets and pay-by-the-minute showers, and is kept quite clean (aside from the spiders). There is also a wash tub in the bathroom (think toddler bath), and 2 big wash tubs outside the bathroom for dishwashing. There are large cedars and birches peppering the site which add shade and beauty. Yes, it has access to a dog beach- though it wasn't great for human swimming. Our kids loved the playground. Though small and awkwardly shaped our tenting site was only one row off the beach and had a great lake view through the row of lakeside trailers. The mini golf is free and though it looks simple, it was a fun activity on a cool morning.

Yes there is a train. Yes it is loud. But the train runs through the entire town so isn't avoidable. It's well fenced off. My kids actually loved it. Less trains at night. Beach was very nice. Got to rent a canoe and kids got to swim on the beach. They have a nice store on site for use. Canoe rentals a bit high for the first hour. $25 then 10$ per hour after. But we all enjoyed it. My husband is good at steering though so we saw a lot. Great way to explore. Like nice and warm. They also have mini golf. $8/family. We try and save money so didn't do it but looked like fun. Sites decent.

Very overpriced for quality of camp ground. Super tight spots, no privacy. Long term RV'ers everywhere. Were not allowed to leave our boat in the water over night, had to take it out each day and leave it in a storage space on the opposite side of the campground, could only access it during business hours 9-9pm, when asked about getting out earlier for morning fishing...they just repeated it opens at 9. $1/minute to shower.... Ridiculous. Will not be back. Plenty of much nicer/affordable campgrounds in the area.

I loved my experience here. The staff was friendly, had 24 hr security and kept the washrooms clean. All sites have power and water and the beach is right there.

Good campground. A little dusty and dirty but close to beach. Price is good and bathroom and showers are clean, also has free mini golf. Only issue i have is its right beside a train track that has trains all day and thru the night. Other than that it is great. Would go back
