β β β β β I started taking piano lessons 5 years ago. It was quite a challenge at my age, but seemed to be going well when my teacher Peter threw another challenge at me: "Let's try lessons by VideoConferencing". My response: "Whaaaat????"
Well, the word "try" works on me like "open Sesame", so I tried it. And guess what? I loved it from the start! It is technically sound, convenient for time shifting, and I see no reason to ever have a teacher sitting beside me.

β β β β β Peter Arthurs teaches musical theory with strong foundations and a great amount of detail. I was prepared, not only to write perfect theory exams, but also to apply those acquired principles to my piano practical exams and song writing. Peter makes the hard stuff become 2nd nature efficiently and effectively; highly recommend!!

β β β β β Although itβs been a while since taking lessons from Peter, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience working with him. When choosing a teacher, we were looking for someone who was extremely skilled and knowledgeable, but also patient and kind. He did an excellent job preparing me for my written and Conservatory playing exams, and I found his goal setting/practice expectations to absolutely be achievable with hard work! Thanks again!

β β β β β When I first decided to take piano lessons, I searched for a credible teacher. I came across Peter and I am glad that I have. What really impressed me was the choice to take lessons through video conferencing. I did not have the means to go to a studio for lessons and I did not have the structure in my busy schedule to have Peter come to me in person so lessons through video conferencing worked for me. The consistency and clarity of the video feed is just like having Peter with you in person! It has changed the way lessons are taken, I would recommend video conferencing as it truly the cheapest and easiest way to take lessons for anyone!

β β β β β Of the many piano teachers I have had throughout my years of playing piano, Peter has by far been the best. His kindness, constant encouragement and attention to detail make him a truly great teacher. Every single lesson conveyed his passion for both piano and teaching, helping me to develop my own passion for playing the piano. His teaching style provided me with a structured environment for growth to allow me to become the best version of myself. In addition to all this, the convenience of having lessons in my own home was a nice bonus! Years later, I have retained many of the technical and musical skills that Peter taught me through the years and continue to play piano for my own enjoyment. I would strongly recommend Peter to anybody looking to learn or improve their piano practice!
