★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The famed Claresholm 7/11. Used to be the standard place to stop on trips between Lethbridge and Calgary. Fill up, take a bathroom break, grab some nachos and be on your way. It's probably still that for a lot of people, but not me not anymore.
When I stopped at around 8pm on a Saturday evening, there were out of half their soft drinks. I'm talking Coke and Pepsi. How does that happen!? The line up was also about 10 people deep with only one person on duty.
Seems grosser and dirtier every time I visit. Bathrooms are disgusting. Okay if you're a guy and need to take a piss. For anything else, you'll probably need a shower afterwards. Can you believe people order hot food here? Yikes!
I'd say skip this place and stop in Nanton instead, except the options there aren't much better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Back in the day, this was the only gas station I knew of that served fried chicken. Now, the smell of it permiates the entire area, and even if you like fried chicken, it's a bit much to stomach. Still buy a few pieces every time I pass by, though.
