★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely disappointed. Only had my dog for a couple months. In this time Ive purchased a few bags of food, a couple of washes, treats and toys. On my last visit, I actually paid attention to what the food rang in at the checkout. They overcharged me from the price on the shelf tag. I pointed it out and the cashier went and removed the tag, reduced the cost on this purchase for me. Remembering what I paid for the previous bags, I mentioned that I overpaid for my previous purchases. Now any normal store would apologize and maybe try to make it up by giving a small coupon or something, but no, I get an immediate response, we can't do ANYTHING about that!
Ummm, yes you can, you hold all the power to correct a previous mistake.
So what I get from this is that the staff, for at least 2 months have not checked their shelf tags, and apparently don't care, which leads me to wonder what else they are overcharging for.
Small gratuities go a long way in customer service, so disappointed in this experience at a store that I was actually excited about going to. Not any more...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible customer service. Clerk at the front said we could return or exchange a faulty dog toy no problem (lasted 30 seconds while being used as directed on the packaging). She told us to go kill time while she looks for her manager. I was understanding, but after keeping us waiting looking for the manager for about 15 minutes she returned without her manager but to tell me she spoke to her manager and was mistaken, we can’t return a faulty dog toy.... $17 down the drain for 30 seconds of “fun”. I have never returned a dog toy before (I expect them to not last forever) but this was next level. Do not recommend this pet store, they do not stand by their “FREE Easy Returns” policy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of the store has gone down after several passionate long term employees left. New employees don’t greet customers and I’ve watched customers walk in and out without paying for goods. Their knowledge of animal care is mediocre at best. Store is usually clean but under stocked now. Terrible location relative to the core of castlegar.
