★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here are very helpful. Last year I was completing a rather large build and was in here weekly. They get to know you by name. The are able to special order all kinds of parts - such as (real) farm door hardware - at very reasonable prices when compared to places like Richelieu, and they get them in faster.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Built a new house and used Perkins for all outdoor lumber. Spent around $15,000 in cedar and pressure treated wood. When it came time to return the bad pieces (about $500 worth) the owner was extremely rude and gave us a very hard time. He made a bunch of negative and insulting comments and I told him next time I'll take my business elsewhere and he said that would be fine. He asked me a question about the recent order and said it was a part of a larger order and he said "you spent $1,600, that not a large order, its not". If he would have looked at my account he would have seen I spent $15K. Its apparent that the owner doesn't care about small sales and doesn't care if he offends his customers. If the wood you sell is damaged then you should be able to return it without being given a hard time. It's part of doing business and its even their return policy. I'd like to know what HH head office thinks about this as he's damaging their brand in my opinion. He's lost my business, my friends business (who builds homes for a living) and I will be sure to let my contacts know about this.

Ordered fence lumber based on a loose description of what I wanted. They designed it and provided quotes that covered everything I needed to build it.
