R	Robby Hlady on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to a Fringe festival theatre show here and it was a pretty cool event and venue. The volunteers for the show were very friendly and welcoming, and they had everything, Covid-wise, will organized!

A couple in front of my daughter had their heads together, she wasn't able to see. I ask that people think about who's behind them. We all paid for our tickets.

They usually have a small bar and snacks and the seating always varies. It's a little inaccessible in that it's at the far end of Granville island but an easy walk from various forms of transit.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming and the overall ibe of the place was excellent. If I had a comment and - this is also something that many other small venues have to deal with - is the inability to accept credit or debit cards. I can only imagine how much more money they might make if they were able to offer this service.
M	Michael Moriarity on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Writers Festival Literary Cabaret Event is for us the key event that we never miss..2019 event will have 6 acclaimed writers read a selected part of their books with Sal Ferreras’s jazz bank link their music with each reading..this is always a sellout performance and the atmosphere set in The Performance Works site makes it an exceptional experience...this event on Granville Island at night makes it a magical evening..

You gotta love how flexible the space is for multiple seating/stage arrangements from traditional stage below raised seated, to in-the-round, galley style, to raised revue stage. The audience is always comfortably accommodated, and treated like royalty by front-of-house staff! And what a setting! Sitting on the grassy knoll outside the door while waiting for doors to open is special! The current production of Ominous Sounds at the River Crossing by Touchstone Theatre is a thunderous announcement that theatre is back after 2 years of "pandemic-modium"! Fabulously directed and performed by its 6 actors, it brilliantly captures society's current psyche issues and reminds us clearly why live theatre arts are an essential part of our collective soul. Both thought-AND-conversation-provoking... Get out there to see it this weekend before it's gone after March 13. Massive kudos to both Performance Works, and Touchstone for a production sure to re-build momentum and support for a re-emerging Arts scene!
