★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first experience was great I called and inquired about a product before coming and picking it up and had no problems. Then today I Had the WORST experience!! I was chatting with (presumably ) the owner about what products to buy for what I was making. I was looking for flour and curry powder. There was a bag of leaking flour on the shelve that looked as if it had been chewed by a rodent. He offered me a curry powder. It happened to be the last one and was noticeably damaged. I initially asked for a discount which he refused until I also realized it was leaking. He offered me something else and then he restocked the damaged leaking product right in front of me. I was surprised and asked him if was still going to sell it and he said yes. I respectably expressed my disappointed in his quality control and lack of care of the products he's selling and then proceeded to the front. While checking out with my items he told me it's ok to sell it. That he doesnt have to follow the rules other major grocery stores follow and that I was being rude. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was rude the last time I came in when in fact there was literally no problems. I WAS happy to shop there before and was thankful for the service but am now DISGUSTED!!

The owner from the oliver location reached out to me and kindly listened acknowledged and rectified my complaint personally! Thank you Riz for your better service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I could finally find the Asian foods, snacks, and ingredients that I couldn’t find in all the other supermarkets in Penticton here at Global Grocers.
The owner was really nice and asked us about our real feedback on things from my home country to make sure the products provided here are in good quality and meet the needs of customers from every culture.
I could only regret that I didn’t get to know this store earlier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I believe they have the friendliest and most courteous staff I’ve ever encountered. Also their selection is fantastic. We buy our eggs there as well and they are local farm fresh eggs that cannot be beat.

I see a lot of things i recognize loving Mexican and growing up eating Portuguese; but they also have a bunch I don’t recognize from countries Asian and European. I definitely suggest anyone check them out for some extra flavour in their cooking

Felt like a blast from the past in the best possible way. Will be back to try some new stuff, this unique selection will help me come up with some cool new meal ideas. Check them out and support!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t like writing reviews when I visit a business for the very first time simply because first impressions are usually not right. However, I have had such a great first impression of this store that I had to rave on Google about it. I was super impressed the selection, prices and most importantly the overall human experience at this gem of a grocery store.
I saw one employee (I didn’t catch his name) juggling between customers very professionally and politely. He was the only one at the store, but he made feel everyone that he was available whenever they had any questions or needed to find anything. He was very knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations. He caught me off guard with his genuine friendliness because it’s very rare these days. I sure will be back!
