Nothing really needs to be said no complaint. Staff is friendly and very helpful books and videos are easy to find, having a children and adult sections opens up alot of opportunity. They definitely deserve 5 stars in book

Bravo for storytime with a Drag Queen. Teaching about respect and inclusion at a young age is important. Very happy to see this. ❤️ ? ?‍?‍?? #lovewins

I have just moved back to Pembroke recently, and remembered the library as my second home growing up. Now it is just as magical a place for me, with the atmosphere, the obliging staff, and not only books but myriad programs to enjoy!

Overall this was an underwhelming library for kids. I came for storytime which was not well attended and not well delivered. The messy play advertised is a tarp on the floor with clumpy oatmeal and toys in a small inflatable pool. There is a small play area with toys. There are some bins with Legos for older kids to play with. None is bad... Just underwhelming. There are 2 bathrooms and a change table in the area, there is an elevator for access. I would say not stroller-friendly due to the stairs. There is limited parking in the back and on the street (the lot in front is reserved for staff). It is lovely art deco decor in the facade and upstairs areas.

So inclusive that they will take young children that one day think they are a dinosaur or fairy and totally confuse them about what is a man or woman. Children who may then go on and join the trendy 10-fold increase of their peers that call themselves something other than the male or female they were born as, and go on to cause irreversible damage through hormone treatments, and grotesque, maiming surgeries, and suffer from the 60% suicide, and massive depression rates that all transgenders have. But inclusion and acceptance trumps all else. Making children pawns of your sick little game is of zero consequence. Oh, but I guess inclusion doesn't mean including the very taxpayer that is funding your sick pursuits... banning transparency and accountability on your social media accounts by deleting comments and banning the very people funding you. I believe there is precedent against that sort of thing in law. That will be interesting to discuss with my lawyer.

Teaching kids that all community members deserve love and respect, no matter where they come from is an important lesson. Thanks to the Pembroke Public Library for being a safe space for all.

I think the upcoming event is a good idea. If kids see that people are the same regardless of ethnicity, religion, or outward appearance, it can only be good for the world going forward. Expect me there with all my grandkids!
