After more than 10 years as Fit 4 Two Winnipeg East we rebranded as Peg Family Fitness in 2020!

Peg Family Fitness is thrilled to continue offering fitness classes designed especially for prenatal moms, postnatal moms, dads, and families with young children.

Our instructors are pre & postnatal specialists and have been trained and certified through the Manitoba Fitness Council.

Steph is very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Great workouts with cardio and strength. She also gives alternate moves if babe is cranky and you need to hold them.

Steph is so flexible, kind and motivating! She creates a great workout environment and sets time aside/notifies so you can attend to your little one! Highly recommend peg family fitness!

This was the perfect reintroduction to exercise after having my baby. I loved that I could bring baby with me to classes, and that there are options for at-home and in-person. All the workouts can be modified to suit your fitness level, and can be as gentle or as challenging as you need. Most of all, Steph has created a warm, inclusive environment that is welcoming and makes you feel like you belong.

I've been meaning to write a review for awhile now as I am coming up on almost a year of working out with Steph! It's taken me some time to find the right words to best capture how amazing it's been to be a part Peg Family Fitness since February of last year. I'm so happy a friend suggested I try out a class because it honestly has kept me going at times throughout this pandemic, and through becoming a mom while in isolation much of the time. Steph is so supportive whatever your level of fitness is, and wherever you are at whether pregnant or post-partum (it could be a few months or a few years!) She readily offers modifications, but also pushes and encourages you to challenge yourself if you are up for it. Steph is all about moving your body, and working on feeling good and strong. This is a big reason why I continue to sign up session after session. My daughter and I also really enjoy the themed work-outs, like when we dressed up in costumes the week of Halloween, and when we put on festive clothing around Christmas/Winter holidays. If you're uncertain about how to get back into fitness, or looking to try getting active, I guarantee you this is the best space to do it! Steph, and all of her participants, are encouraging and welcoming. I've also had the pleasure of meeting a few awesome people who I now call friends :) (Photos include community centre and at-home workouts! Steph has been fantastic at keeping participants safe).

Steph is incredible. She makes class fun and engaging. She also challenges you every class, providing a variety of levels for every move knowing every mama is at a different level and sometimes pregnancy and labour has taken a toll on our bodies. My son got fussy half way through class most times and she has alterations to every move so I could hold him and keep him happy. This was huge to help me get my fitness goal back on track. Going to class after being over due has kick started my fitness again and I am so excited to do more classes with Steph in the spring. Highly, highly recommend class with her after you have your little one.

I’ve attended multiple of Steph’s classes during and after my pregnancy and it was the greatest thing I did for myself. It helped me meet my fitness goals by providing alternative levels on days I didn’t have the energy but challenged me when I did. The biggest impact I was able to experience was the positive effect the classes had on my mental health. I recommend these classes to all of my friends.

Peg Family Fitness classes have been my saving grace during this pandemic and during my maternity leave! I have been attending Steph’s classes for over a year now and I plan to attend them for many more! Last year while everything was closed and it was scary to even leave the house with a new baby, Steph’s online class was one of the only ways to connect with other moms and it was our main weekly β€œevent” that I always looked forward to. Once we were able to have in-person classes, in the gym and then in the park, my son’s and I love for the classes only grew! Steph’s classes provide a great variety of targeted workouts, connecting with others and a sense of community. I can’t say enough amazing things about Peg Family Fitness and Steph, as an instructor and business owner. If you’re looking to get active while pregnant or postpartum then I highly recommend giving Peg Family Fitness a shot!
