β β β β β Horrible! Saturday Jan 29/22. Ordered a bunch of dim sum. Refried overly oily , rancid oil taste, enough to be worried about food poisoning. This used to be my go-to dim sum place in North Toronto. I will NEVER go back. ?

β β β β β As others have said, the food is mediocre at best. Any other dim sum place in the city is nearly guaranteed to be better, this is roughly the quality of what you'd get at an ACYE sushi place.
The real issue is the pricing - they leave the dim sum a la carte costs off the menu for a reason. S/M/L dishes cost $7/$9/$10 each, with four dumplings being considered a "large".
For two people, we ended up with a bill of $100 plus tax and tip (granted we only managed to eat about $80 worth).
2 stars since the food isn't awful and the service was good.

What time we arrived/Wait time?
We made a reservation for lunch on a saturday at 1:30pm. We went and it was packed but luckily got our seat!
Atmosphere?
Bayview Village is quite an expensive mall. So the atmosphere is fancy and beautiful. I love the design of this place and it's very clean relative to other Chinese Restaurants I've been to.
Service/Staff?
The service was good. They were fast and efficient.
Food/Menu/Pricing?
This place is one of the most expensive dim sum places in Toronto I think. I believe a small is 5$, medium 8$ and large is 10$. We got some har gow, shu mai, fried shrimp rolls, BBQ pork tenderloin.. etc. (refer to photos). They were all great! Not too greasy which I like and very clean tasting. Couldn't really go wrong!
The place settings are nice too!

β β β β β Please avoid coming here if you want to have a good weekend. We had to ask 3 times for napkin that didn't set on our plate. Then I had to ask 2 times for spoon to eat my Mango Pudding. They charge us a dishes that we didn't order but they fixed as soon as we told them.
the food was Okay and they wasn't super busy and giving a careless services like that. I will never go back here.

β β β β β Enjoyed a good dimsum lunch. Maybe a little pricey (consider the rent they have to pay here) but the dimsum were plump and full of meat, and the shrimps of above average size. Service was good.

Very strange decor. Doesnβt look or feel like a restaurant. The three Pearl restaurants in the GTA have different menus and different ways of cooking the dishes they do share. The server implied Pearl at Bayview Village was the least desirable place to dine. If youβre in that mall, choose any other restaurant to eat at.
Food was nicely presented but Wonton soup βbrothβ was just water and a bit of oil.
The silver noodles were dense slug-like bits of starch. No flavour at all. Steamed dumplings very basic. No flavour.
I spent $37 on lunch, was not full, and had no beverage. But I had seven urgent trips to the washroom that afternoon.

β β β β β Visited for a late lunch. Tables are nicely spread out to offer some privacy. Ordered the discounted Peking duck special and some dim sum items. All the food was great tasting. Would recommend this place if your in the mood for some excellent Chinese food. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.
