Pavemar Paving

Just had my driveway done by Pavemar today, Aldo and his crew did a fantastic job, exactly how my wife and I wanted it. We are so happy with the quality of there work.We highly recommend them.Great jobs guys and thanks again.

Tony estimated the job to pave my residential gravel driveway promptly, then re-estimated when I asked for a second course. He carefully pointed out the drainage considerations, and agreed to a last minute change of hot mix type. Although near the end of season in mid-November, he promised to get a crew out for the one day installation, and within a week he did. All equipment (Bobcats, excavated fill haulage, rollers and hot mix spreader) were promptly on site by mid-morning with a full crew. The area I had marked was quickly excavated by Tony and brother Aldo, and the material taken to a local dump site I had contracted with (United Soils Technologies in Stouffville). The Granular A sub-course I had requested was standing by on two 3 axles, and the first sub-course immediately laid. Tony and Aldo and crew spread and rolled this expertly. Then a second sub-course was laid with slightly finer material, again quickly, expertly and the edges of the lawn respected. A novel move was their use of the hot mix spreader to do the final grading of the sub-course. It's hard on the screed, but gives a very smooth and exact grade for drainage. Tony measured the grade at various places with a 12' level. Finally, the hot mix went down and was expertly spread with the edges nicely banked by the crew, while Tony and Aldo used first the heavy roller then the lighter ones for the finishing touches. They used HL8 at my request as a base course rather than the more usual HL3 for residential driveways. HL8 is a harder, but more porous course; we'll leave it to over-winter, then add a top course of HL3 (fine) in the summer to seal the HL8 and provide smooth, attractive surface finish. The resulting surface, though now, and drainage, is first rate. There is nothing more this cranky old engineer could ask. These guys knew exactly what they were doing! All members of the crew were polite, diligent and skilled at their tasks. Pavemar runs a first rate shop. Their prices are very fair, in line with industry standard. They arrive with all the right equipment and materials, and NO surprises. You won't go wrong with this company.

Pavemar was able to take our damaged driveway and turn it into a model runway for our vehicles and guests.
