I have read great reviews about Paul Davis and they must not have been made after dealing with Scott McDowell. He was dishonest with us and told us that our insurance adjuster did not want them to clean up after our flood until he got his $2000 deposit. We called the insurance adjuster and he said that was untrue, that they could get started on remediation right away. Scott also told us that my husband and I could not browse for flooring at an approved flooring company until he had his deposit. Once we found out he was lying to us, he said that he told us those things because he didnt want us to "waste his time, or a flooring salesmans time" UNTIL HE GOT HIS DEPOSIT..which is the only thing this guy cares about. How about not wasting your client's time and actually caring about your customers? He did not give us any options, or allowed us to decide on paint colour..THIS GUY WORKS TO IMPRESS INSURANCE COMPANIES. My advice..do not allow Scott to work with you on any insurance claims! He will assume that you do not have money of your own to add..which is incredibly condescending!
We tried to change companies and he even gave us a hard time with transferring over our information. We had text messages that we sent to Paul Davis's head office to prove how he manipulates and lies. I give one star...barely!
We have since finished our basement the way that WE want it to be! No thanks to Scott!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paul Davis responded to a leak in my bathroom. Ryan Mathewson was the project manager that I dealt with. Ryan was great to deal with. Communication was great and he helped us through everything. He was very honest and he definitely went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the work being done. Also, I would like to thank Brad Wicklander who managed the estimating process. It was very obvious that Paul Davis is a team orientated company by how well they communicate with one another from their field staff to the senior management team. I would highly recommend Paul Davis for any emergency situation / renovation need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the first time my wife and I have ever put an insurance claim through since being homeowners for over 18 years. I called Paul Davis who responded immediately by sending someone to the house the same day. Ryan the project manager walked us through explaining everything in detail, making a terrible experience to be more bearable. Ryan's crew of guys worked through the weekend and were very respectful and left the place tidy . The whole process was over in just over a week, I would recommend Paul Davis and there staff for any restoration job .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The response to my home flooding problem was within a half hour of my phone call to the company. A representative came to begin an emergency effort towards easing the immediate situation. After my insurance company was informed, Paul Davis workers were sent to begin the repairs to the entire lower floor of my home.
I was kept informed about each stage of the process, knowing what would be done, and when, as well as which workers would be coming. All of their employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and skillful in their area of expertise. Any questions or concerns I had were always answered in a friendly manner. They were careful to avoid further damage when bringing in equipment and tools, providing protection with plastic barriers. When furniture, appliances and cupboards needed to be moved, and carpeting had to be rolled back, it was done with much care.
Work that required removal of portions of the subfloor and underlying insulation was cleaned up at the end of each day's efforts, so that there was as little mess as possible, and was taken away regularly.
All repairs and final cleaning have now been done. My home is back to normal, and shows nothing of the extensive flooding damage that had occurred. Paul Davis workers and staff helped me to feel reassured and confident that a devastating incident could be successfully resolved. I am extremely pleased with their excellent workmanship , and the demonstration of the high quality standards of their employees and company! Highly recommend Paul Davis Company!
