If you're looking for a photographer who is professional, enthusiastic, reliable, very skilled, quick turnaround and unbelievably well-priced, Paul is your man. The coles notes version: our experience was fantastic, and our pictures were even better. Paul will give you a DVD of your pics which are NOT copyrighted, so you can get them printed anywhere. Here's the long version... From start to finish, Paul exceeded my expectations. To be honest, I'm not really a photography person, so my main goal in choosing a photographer was to stay on budget, and find someone who could do it. Lets face it, in this day and age, who can't take a picture?? Yeah, I have learned quite a bit thanks to Paul... He met with us a solid year, practically to the day in advance of the wedding ( which helps you to conside the sun position in choosing photo spots). We discussed locations, timing, lighting/sun position, the rain plan (it was an outdoor wedding). He knew what he was doing and explained it to us thoroughly. He seemed genuinely excited to be photographing our wedding! On the day, he showed up a little bit early, and just went with the flow. We ladies were a little (ok, a lot) late with the hair. You would never know from our pictures that we missed basically an hour+ of photography. You would also never know that he was at our ceremony. Seriously, I didn't notice him until I got back down to the end of the aisle, but we have tons of photos of the ceremony. Plus hundreds - I think the total was over 1800 of everything else. Paul knew how to direct us for pictures, which was great, simple things, like "put your hand in your pocket" can really change a shot. Like I said, I'm photgraphically inept, so to have someone know what we have to do was great. When it came to the disks, we had them MUCH faster than I expected. I've heard people wait months - I didn't wait anywhere close to months... It was so fast that I'm not willing to say it publicly, lest I set expectations he can't meet for everyone... In terms of retouching, it was raining the morning of the wedding, so my white dress had a lovely 6 inch mud ring around the bottom - he corrected it in every picture!! In summary, I can honestly say that we got much more than our money's worth out of Paul, and we are very grateful for the personal service we received. I didn't expect to be blown away by our photography, but I was. We had a beautiful wedding, and we're honoured that Paul Bennett captured our special moments for us. We couldn't have chosen a better photographer.
