I came here to try the kouign-amann but they were unfortunately out of it. I came near closing time so it makes sense. The owner suggested to come earlier during the day as they aren't sure when they'll run out. I did get to try the chocolatine and croissant which were both lovely. The croissant was flaky and had a nice buttery flavour even though I had it a little bit after. I also enjoyed the chocolatine. Would come back to try other pastries whenever I'm in Montreal again.

Vraiment trop trop bon. Je recommande fortement!! The kouing-amann had the perfect sweetness and was so buttery. It had a nice sugar crackly crust on top and the pastry was nicely layered.

The kouign amann is simply delightful! It has a soft buttery inside with a sweet crispy outside. They even add a dash of salt on the crust which enhances the flavor! Best part is that it was warm and fresh!

The definition of "made with love" the creation of these heavenly pastries is almost magic. Beyond description (but we'll still try) tasting the croissants is like kissing a very delicate, buttery, flaky cloud. The ridiculously delectable, rich, adequately sweet Kouign-amann stays astonishingly fresh for a truly impressive amount of time (we tried it immediately after purchasing and then again over 36 hours later and it tasted the same!! ?) A must try and repeat many times over.

Came here to try the famous Kouign Amann. There was around 1.5 pie left when we arrived at 10am. We ordered 1 slice of the Kouign Amann, one almond croissant and one apple turnover. The Kouign Amann, as expected, has very strong butter taste. It's more buttery than sweet. We pair it with espresso and it was wonderful. The almond croissant was also pretty awesome. Very flaky and not hard. The apple turnover was surprisingly very not sweet. We thought it would taste like MCD apple pie but it's totally not sweet. We had a bit of trouble ordering as we do not speak French, but the staff was patient with us and we were able to order at the end.

The croissant here is great - flaky, buttery and light. We also had a plum pastry which was fantastic, sweet and crunchy. The espresso was piping hot and paired nicely with the pastry. None of that really matters compared to the crown jewel, the eponymous Kouign Amann. It’s a buttery, rich, chewy pastry wrapped in a sublime sweet, sticky, and slightly salty glaze that combine to form one of the finest food experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. A must try.

Best French patisserie in town. Always fresh and hot when u buy them. ? delicious and for a good price. Friendly staff that speak French. Got a few croissants and the tomato and leek quiche. My absolute favorite. After a night shift on the way home stopped by here to bring some breakfast home for the weekend. Must try there almond croissant and there fruit juice. Have been coming here for years and the quality has been consistent. Can't wait for the next time. Just wish they were open more days to go, check there hours before coming.

Hands down to the BEST Almond Croissant & Kouign Amann from French pastry for breakfast IS HEAVEN.. We always come back for their Kouign Amann when visit Montreal, SO DELICIOUS - sweet crackly crust, soft buttery, nicely layered with chewy texture. Best part is it was fresh and warm. You can buy it per slice or the whole pie. This time, I tried their Almond croissant, traditional croissant, and spinach quiche as well. The almond croissants is one of the best I’ve ever tried. I really like the almond paste inside. Every bite is a delight. You can hear the crisp when you bite into the traditional croissants - flaky, buttery, while airy & light at the same time. I could eat more than one at a time. They’re reasonably priced, around $2 each. Tips: Come earlier as they run out so fast!
