Susannah Horgan, B.A. M.Sc. R.Psych.

My name is Susannah Horgan. I am a Registered Psychologist based in Calgary Alberta.
I have been providing psychotherapy to adults for many years and I consider it a privilege to work with each person that I meet in therapy. My commitment as your therapist is to welcome you wherever you are at in your life, to offer genuine support, and to accompany you on your journey of personal development.

I have a Master’s in Applied Psychology and Community Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary (2001). My career started in the disability services sector 30 years ago. Since then, I have worked in health, community, educational, and clinical settings.

I am originally from Quebec where I grew up in a completely bilingual setting. I am equally fluent in reading, writing and speaking both official languages and can comfortably provide services in English and in French.

I am a seasoned and skilled clinician with a passion for integrating mind-body-spirit in my approach to therapy. I use a number of modalities that are informed by both research and practice as being robust in their effectiveness. Among these are EMDR therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the treatment of various psychological difficulties, including the effects of trauma.

I also practice and teach yoga and draw on this knowledge to facilitate the work of healing through body awareness, postural adjustment and gentle movement.

I believe the therapeutic process can provide a context in which to deepen a person’s relationship with self, others and with life itself. My understanding of life as a spiritual journey informs my way of engaging with clients mindfully and holistically.
