About Parliament Community Church
A Mennonite Brethren community of faith established in 1942.
Our diverse community church is made up of individuals who strive to grow as disciples and to live out their faith in daily life. The church family is made up of people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. As a church we are affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren of Canada. We are evangelical in the sense that we root ourselves in the teaching of the gospels, and we are more specifically described as being anabaptist – meaning we practice believers’ baptism, value nonresistance and hold to the separation of church and state.
Our church has a strong sense of mission both locally and globally. You can learn more about our missions focus here. Along with formal missions support, many people in our church are active in supporting various organizations and living missional lives that minister not only within our church but also in the communities in which we live.
We have a range of ministries designed for all age groups, including children and families, youth, and adults of all ages. The goal of all ministries is to help us gather, grow and go as a church. β β β β β I love the down to earth feeling you get from everyone from the pastors to the parishioners. For me it was like finding my church home, a place that I belong and feel welcome. There seem to be lots of events after church for a time of fellowship and getting to know new people. The worship music is wonderful which since I love to sing lets me praise God with my voice.
