★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great gathering place for the neighborhood. There's enough shade and enough sun, and the play structures are appropriate for nearly all ages of kid. Lots of room for picnics, throwing a frisbee, or looking at clouds.
That said, it's not something really worth a long trip. If you can walk it, go for it; otherwise there are much fancier parks north of Highway 40.
